Review summary

I had been on 4 Alaskan cruises before embarking on the Sojourn but was intrigued by the stops we had in out of the way spots that bigger cruise ships could not offer. Seabourn is now #1 in my books. Very luxurious and having the ability to board their zodiacs or kayaks right from the ship is a big plus. The service and staff are exemplary.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Shipboard lectures were great but this cruise was mostly about the on shore, zodiac and kayaking experiences.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Small ship so entertainment was very good but not as lavish as one might find on a huge vessel.

Children's Programs

No Children with me and only 1 infant and 1 child on entire ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very personalized service - one was addressed by one's name.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great design - many decks, forward and aft from which to watch the scenery go by. Never felt crowded and deck chairs always available and spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very large and comfortable cabin. No balcony but, large picture window so not at all confining. Marble clad bathroom with tub, separate shower and double sinks.

Ship tip

Be prepared to be very pampered.

Cruise ship terminal within easy walk to downtown with great shopping.

Cruise Misty Fjords, Alaska

Loved hanging out in this beautiful, peaceful fjord. Seabourn has its own zodiac and kayaks on board so a more intimate experience is possible.

Wrangell, Alaska

The excursion to view Wild Bears of Anan is a must. Saw lots of bears fishing for salmon in the fast running stream.

Sitka, Alaska

A lovely town to browse around in. Russian influence very visible.

Relaxed on board.

Zip lining the big 'to do' here.

Juneau, Alaska

Got here early so took the cable car to the top for a wonderful view and walk around. The town is overrun with the same jewelry stores and scores of tourists from the other huge cruise ships. Mendenhall Glaciers was a zoo.

CRUISE TRACY ARM & ENDICOT ARM

Loved being here. Took a zodiac tour to get closer to the Glacier and that was a fantastic experience. One of the highlights.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Been here a few times so just enjoyed browsing through Creek Street.

KLEMTU, SWINDLE ISLAND, BRITISH COLUMBIA

A First Nations' village - we were invited to a performance in their Long House. Had the most delicious Halibut and Salmon.

Alert Bay, Northwest Territories
