Review summary

All cruise lines continue to cut corners and reduce quality and service. Seabourn is following this trend unfortunately! Dear Mrs. Seabourn President... Your typical Seabourn guests would rather pay "slightly more" and continue to receive the quality that you have provided in the past, than have you continue to cut corners and reduce the Seabourn experience to that no better than other semi luxury cruise lines. Step Up and Forward, not backwards.

Embarkation

Easy as expected

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food quality in main dinner continues to decline, both in quality as well as selection.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Ovation is not quite the "sister ship" to Encore as advertised. Far less onboard activity than Others. First ship I have experienced with no golf putting area, basketball or pickleball, nor walking track.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Seabourn performers were good but unfortunately only performed Once after dinner during the 7 days.

Children's Programs

There are no children programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Seabourn staff continue to be 1st rate and very pleasant group.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Disappointed in this New ships design. Very much a step backwards compared to Encore. Far less outdoor activity, lacking golf putting area, walking track, or any other typical activities on ships. The interior design is also a disappointment, very dated looking with dark maroon color carpet throughout and lacking the details of the other Seabourn ships, specifically Encore.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This is the area where Seabourn does a wonderful job. Staterooms are large with walk-in closet and very nice bathroom including double sinks and tub. Well lit vanity area and the cabinet has ample storage. Bravo Seabourn!

Ship tip

Be certain and dine in specialty restaurant Solaris. This is what Seabourn dinning was in the past at all restaurant options! Fantastic service, menu choices and the food quality is wonderfully well done.
