7 Night Alaska Inside Passage (Seattle Roundtrip)
Sail Date: May 30, 2010
Cabin Type: Suite
Traveled As: Large Group
Reviewed: 7 years ago
Since I had been on another cruise with a different cruise line recently, I had high expectations for Princess. The ship's staff was excellent - but within one day of sailing, we were told that many passengers had become ill - puts a little damper on your enthusiasm as far as mingling with other guests and participating in the ship's entertainment offerings. However, that being said, ALASKA was spectacular and very exciting to see. All of our excursions were excellent and very professional. We had a great time on land.

Food and Dining

Not a good variety. The American food was bland. And the "snack" food, hamburgers & pizza, were only offered in the afternoon. Those kind of foods are a late night snack too!

I was expecting more out of a "mini-suite".

Took the Train down the mountain. Wonderful scenery! Then enjoyed the shopping in town.
Don't Miss: Train

Pros: Scenery was spectacular! The ship's crew was excellent.

Cons: Many people (at least 80) became sick with the virus which caused quarentine and hightened sanitary measures.

Recommends Sapphire Princess? No.
