Review summary

Our family sailed on the Sapphire Princess in April 2009. We had a great time. The food was very good. The service was very good. The only thing that bothered us was in some areas of the ship it smelled bad. The entertainment was great. They had shows that the whole family could attend and not be worried about the content. They had three nights of comedians and they were awesome. We wished there would have been more paddle tennis courts, ping pong and shuffle board areas as it was hard to get a turn to play very often.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Too short of time there. You can hire your own small boat to take you to Lovers Beach or to Lands end (or really any of the beaches there and it is cheaper than the cruise line prices. However, don't go with the first guys that want to sell to you when you get to the port very first. It is a lot cheaper to walk a bit further and hire someone else.
Don't Miss: beach

Mazatlan, Mexico

We went to a beach that is just a small walk away from the port (about 10 min) that is called stone island. You walk to the water taxi's called the pollettes (? on spelling) and they ferry you over and back for about $2 per person. The beach is very large and beautiful.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We go to Puerto Vallarta a lot. Some of our favorite restaurants are Pipi's and Daquiri Dicks. The boardwalk is beautiful and the Sand Art along there is amazing.
Don't Miss: zip lines

Pros: We enjoyed all of it

Cons: too short of stop in Cabo San Lucas
