Review summary

Princess cruise lines was working for extra credit on this cruise and they deserve it on this cruise! The purpose of a vacation is to enjoy yourself and your surroundings, and we certainly had that during the entire cruise. We had a room steward like non else. Memories are going to last a lifetime from this one!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only went to the traditional dining, except a few mid-day buffet snacks. Excellent food and service.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Pretty good. We saw a lot of shows, although there were plenty we wanted to go to that were strangely placed in a bad timing with traditional dining timing.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
We saw the children's programs on board and although we don't have and children, thought it was excellent because the children were not running around and must have been taken care of. We walked by the area once and saw just how much there was for kids to do, and, well, wouldn't mind going back to our earlier days of youth to experience how much fun it did look like.

Service and Staff

You won't be let down! We were not!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything just made sense. Boarding the ship was excellent, although if the "walk off" disembark at the end of the trip could use improvement. It's not bad, but the last walk off disembark was just waiting in your room until your "numbers" were called. It prevented huge lines and sped up the disembark experience. Don't let that scare you though, everything else was amazing!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
As I said before, our stateroom was amazing. We like a clean environment and that was well taken care of.

Ports of call

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Nice place to visit. We had never been here before. We did not do any shore excursions with the cruise line on this excursion and just walked around. Believe me, if you like to shop, then this is the place. I would say though that most of the items you can buy are everywhere, so don't just buy from the first place - you can get a really good price from someone. We found a specialized vanilla shop near the beach and got an even higher quality vanilla then the vanilla thats sold everywhere else.
Don't Miss: We found a specialized vanilla shop near the beach and got an even higher quality vanilla then the vanilla thats sold everywhere else.

Mazatlan, Mexico

We did not do any shore excursions with the cruise line on this excursion and just got off the ship and found a trolley that took you around on a tour. Good experience. They brought us around town and were fun and funny. We saw cliff divers (very fun) and went to the cathedral and saw the amazing work that was put into this place of worship. We also went to this restaurant for lunch that, first of all is safe for the food, but second, had really incredible sea food. The coconut shrimp we had were almost big as a fist!

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Lovers beach was great. Take the glass bottom boat tour when you get there. We paid $12 a person and saw lots of fish, and even saw some jewelry at the bottom (I am sure the boat operator will be back to collect on that!).
Don't Miss: Glass bottom boat tours are fantastic

Pros: The environment was incredible. Nice people, from the "cruisers" to the employees

Cons: Some of the people on board were snotty, but they just need to learn humbleness

Recommends Sapphire Princess? Yes!
