Review summary

The ship is dated and needs upgrading, the dining was ok, nothing spectacular. Entertainment was poor, just singing and dancing by the crew. The couple of comedy shows were good, but we found it hard to find things to do during the day and after dinner. Most of the things to do were centered around selling things on the ship! Ring events, Watch events the spa. All the bars were very good and accommodating. The ship was only 75% full and service still had a hard time keeping up. Lack of anything extra or special was obvious.

The main dining rooms were just ok, We could tell the ship was understaffed. They did just the basics to get by everyday.

Unfortunately 2 of the pools were closed, not much else to do except sit by the pool on deck.

Our room steward was good, kept room clean and tidy. All the little extra things are not there on this ship... chocolates on pillows, towel animals on bed, no extras at all.

Don't expect it to be a "grand" ship, its dated with its looks and decor.

Thanks for sharing your experience on Ruby. We are sailing on her in July to Alaska, hopefully they will have more entertainment and activities for that.
