Cruise was good despite a few choppy sea days and the norovirus outbreak that saw some of our travel companions loose some time enjoying the boat or ports. Its definitely geared towards an older crowd but the cruise director was good and its seemed to accommodate the variety people with a variety of activities. I would do a Princess Cruise again despite the afflictions.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining

MDR had great food but occasionally cold. Not much variety in buffet. Same types of food daily w different spin on it. Eg.chicken cutlet one day, pork cutlet the next. Also lacking in chocolate desserts at time. Also noticed some buns and pastries were on the stale side. Could barely cut into them in the MDR. Had the Princess plus package. Drinks were good but some of the medallion features were spotty...like 2-4 hr wait for room service. Also, it included premium desserts which were only ice cream Sundays that were way too sweet. Day 6 they had run out of chocolate and vanilla ice cream for the premium desserts. I kinda wish theire premium desserts were more like the MDR desserts. Coffee at the international Cafe was great! 3.5 stars overall
Onboard Activities

We did a few activities. Most were low key. The funniest activity was one where staff acted out scenes from movies. Magician was so-so on the second night of his performance.

Service and Staff

Noro outbreak slowed services down. People waiting 2-4hrs for room service delivery. Medallions were neat. Could order to wherever u were but took an hour or longer to get.
Ship Quality

Constantly lost. Lol. Staff were good at cleaning rooms a few times a day. Shout out to Augustine on the Aloha deck! Odd smells though throughout the ship. Norovirus Outbreak on board. Witnessed people puking in the halls which was quickly cleaned up. One of our members in our group came down with symptoms and was placed in quarantine. She had to visit the medical team before she was allowed to leave the boat at one of the ports.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
I've only done one other cruise with Carnival. This stateroom was smaller than Carnival's balcony stateroom. I find it funny that the stateroom doesn't start with the numbers the correspond to the floor your on.
Ship tip
Bring lysol wipes, hand sanitizer and wash your hands.
We did the Land and Sea excursion through Vacations to Go. Interesting to see how others live. We only got to do 15 mins of snorkeling as part of the tour and it was amazing.
Princess MDR dinner rolls have always (for the last 8 years anyway) been very crusty, just the style. You can request softer style rolls, but I am not sure how many they make. Thanks for the review, especially the comment on the desserts, we have that package in May.
