All in all, a great cruise. Had a good time. Now gotta go back to work to pay for it and make money for my next cruise
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Had to wait in a super long line to get on the ship. This was due to required Covid testing required by the state of Hawaii. But, I feel that the line moved as good as it could. They'd test a group of about 30 people. Once their test results came back negative, they'd be allowed to board. We were also tested once enough route to Hawaii. I'd rather Princess err on the side of safety. So I didn't mind it.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The buffet, snack bars, and main dining room were all excellent.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were several pools available, but it was too cool (first three days, anyway) to enjoy them. The fitness center was clean and never crowded. Our cruise was about half capacity. About 1200 passengers versus a max capacity of 2800.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Loved the entertainment. The ships company troupe of performers did a good show. And the first time to have live entertainment in since covid. The other performers, musicians, impressionists and magicians were good as well
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the staff were top notch

Cabin / Stateroom

Quite pleasantly surprised. My wife and I usually got a balcony stateroom. She died back in September, so this was my first solo cruise. I had an interior room. Which was all I needed. I found it to be all I needed.
Love sailing from San Francisco. So much better than sailing from L.A. You pass all the iconic landmarks as you sail out of the bay. (Alcatraz, the Bay Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Been to Hawaii several times. So I did my own tour here. Caught the city bus (The Bus) to Waikiki. Walked along the beach and saw the wonderful hotels. Went to the State Capitol building and saw the Ionani Palace and King Kamehameha statue.
So glad you had a great cruise.
It's absolutely wonderful that Hawaii is open for cruising again. 😊
Hopefully, Australia & NZ cruises are next. 🚢
