Embarkation

5 out of 5
Being a Platinum member of Princess Cruise Line wisked is to the front of the line!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dinners at Bottecellis assigned seating were hit or miss. The desserts were terrific!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Hula & Ukulele lessons were incredible! Learning how to crochet a lei was also a lot of fun. The pools & hot tubs were nice but there were quite a few kids enjoying them... so we went to the adult pool at the back of the ship.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was fantastic in the Princess Theater, as well as the clubs around the ship! The Princess cast members only put on 2 musical shows but they were pretty professional.

Children's Programs

We are retired so did not have kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff went out of their way to make our experience memorable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All common areas we visited were for the most part clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room was perfect for two people. The bed & pillows were incredibly comfortable! The balcony was spacious and had two reclining chairs. We were able to bring an extra chair in to sit on when having beverages or breakfast in the room. The bathroom area was fine but the shower was very tight 😂

Ship tip

The trip to the Islands can be as enjoyable as the destination if you participate. The Ukuleles were borrowed for the entire cruise and lessons were given on all sea days so start on day 2. You can “practice” on your down time at sea.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

4 out of 5
We came in the evening before the cruise so we went directly to the ship. It was a pretty drive

Hilo, Hawaii

4 out of 5
We did not do an excursion

Honolulu, Oahu

4 out of 5
We rented a car and drove around the Island. It is very congested near Honolulu and several roads were closed due to the mud slide. The shoreline is beautiful, with lovely views and marinas!

Nawiliwili, Kauai

5 out of 5
One of our favorite Islands to drive by car was visiting Waianae, which is also called the Grand Canyon of Kauai. The views, waterfalls and forest was beautiful.

Lahaina, Maui

5 out of 5
On this port we took the Road to Hanna by car, another absolutely beautiful drive with lush green foliage; views of the Pacific from cliffs; waterfalls and surfers! This tour had it all! We downloaded the app “gypsy guide”, which was perfect for leading us to beautiful spots to stop at as well as pointing out highlights and history along the route. I highly recommend this app

Ensenada, Mexico

3 out of 5
We took a tour to the “blow hole” which was fantastic! The scenery of cliffs, water and tuna farms along the way made the trip very interesting. Walking to the sea you have to paddy through Mexican venders selling their products. (Only a few were actually made in Mexico, but it was a fun walk)

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Our luggage was waiting for us as we disembarked. We had a wonderful breakfast first to get us through the morning. Busses were lined up to take us right to our airlines, with little to no wait.

On the same one, except for the several days close to the mainland, had a great time. Dinner was mostly good to great for what I picked.
