Review summary

We cruise quite often, but this is our first Princess cruise. The passengers were older. We had our teenage daughters for spring break. The teen club would not let the 18 year old in even though she is a senior just like the 17 year old. They have a 15 drink limit on the drink package, but wont give you credit if not consumed on other days. They also won't give you pop with the drink passages unless it comes out of the fountain. They have very limited fountain choices. The ship was clean but dated.

Embarkation

The staterooms were ready very fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet choices are good, but small. The steak restaurant was wonderful. I would not recommend Share- overpriced. We had the drink package and you are limited to 15 per day. But when in port, they don't give you credit for the drinks you have not consumed those days. They also will only give you pop from the fountain and will charge for cans of pop that are not available in the fountain. Very petty as the drink package is close to 500$

Onboard Activities

Plenty to do

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
I brought two seniors in high school. One is 17 and one 18. The would not let the 18 year old in the program. The teen club should be based on grade not age.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We met some wonderful people, Jimmy (cabin steward), Dpak (Bar tender by the pool),

Fine ship! I like Princess because of the older crowds. My party days are over. If I were younger then I’d hit the Carnival line. Practically no kids on Princess because of the higher cost. Perfect for laid back, book reading folks who want to slow things down. . .

They can not allow the adult 18 year old in with underage, even 17 year old. It is a legal liability. Rule on all ships and clubs at home.

Thanks for the review. Will be going on our first Princess cruise in November on the Ruby.

What cruise line gives credit for unconsumed beverages? I would love to get $12 x7 per day for the cocktails I don't drink!
