Review summary

We cruised on Princess Cruise Lines and it was wonderful! The staff were all very professional, courteous, and helpful. We always knew what was happening and when it was happening. There was a full schedule of things to do for mostly all ages. It was mostly adults (50s or older). There were maybe a dozen kids in all on the cruise. The food was wonderful! Especially in the 'specialty restaurants'. The dining areas were beautifully decorated. It was pretty easy to get around on the ship as well; especially since you get a map when you check in.  We didn't watch a lot of the shows but we did watch a few 'Movies Under The Stars'. That was really cool!!!! There was a pretty good selection of shore excursions offered, however, we were disappointed that there were not very many offered for non-drinkers.

Our cabin was beautiful and well stocked! Our Cabin Steward (Rene Hernandez) was so attentive and friendly! He was very good at his job. The views from our balcony were simply breathtaking!

Ship tip

Be sure and try all of the dining options, you won't be sorry!

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

The driving directions were not real clear about where to go for boarding.

San Diego, California

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Almost all of the shore excursions were geared for the Tequila drinkers. There is shopping on and near the pier.

La Paz, Mexico

5 out of 5
This is a relatively new port and as such is not as 'tourist-y and commercial' as some other ports. But on this one you have to do a shore excursion because the actual town of La Paz is quite a distance from the port.

Loreto, Mexico

5 out of 5
This port is also new and is also not as commer- cialized as some of the other ports might be. At this port it really isn't necessary to buy a shore excursion as the town is right at the pier as is everything you could possibly want to do there.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

3 out of 5
As with Cabo, almost all of the shore excursions were geared for the drinkers. But it is enjoyable in Puerto Vallarta. Also a lot of shopping available in this port.
