Great cruise by Venita123

It was a nice break from my Ohio winter where temps were in the teens and schools were closed due to heavy snow.

Sail date: /
Ship: Royal Princess

We enjoyed the cruise. Efficient embarktion Efficient disembarktion. We had been upgraded from BF109 to BB223 on deck 11 Small but adequate. Loved having our balcony. We really enjoyed the Enclave. Warm soak and a steam. Yeeaaah. Food was good. Coffee good. Room kept nice. Comedian was hilarious. Spa services were WAY overpriced. We purchased the day 1 Embarktion massage special. 100 minutes . regularly 258 for 128. They stopped at 75 minutes. Then manager showed us a different paper all together. We did not do any other spa services.

Just came off a 10... by globug32

Sail date: /
Ship: Royal Princess

Just came off a 10 days cruise on the royal princess.. would of had 5 stars but the entertainment was poor. First the cruise was great, room was nice and clean food was wonderful. Weather was great. I am a firm believer in its all what you make of it. We had a really nice time and we found ways to entertain ourselves but there were no deck activities except deck party which only lasted about 1 1/2 hours. No pool games. Barely any music to listen to, comedians were good BOTH of them but could of had more. Voice of the ocean was good, needed more karaoke, Motown show by cast was very good. Sad to say.. princess you need more activities for younger people ship was ghost town by 10 pm

Can't beat a 10-day cruise by pamstyle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean

First time on Princess. We have been on Carnival 3 times. I like the slightly upscale-ness of Princess. I liked that there were less kids running around knocking on doors, stealing room service orders, etc. We didn't get towel animals and the big show entertainment is better on Carnival, but we didn't miss it. Carnival had a better party atmosphere and dancing, and we kind of missed that, but overall I think we relaxed more on the Royal Princess. Our room steward, Vladimir, was the best. Princess has much better muster drills than Carnival. On Carnival you go to a place on a deck and have to line to line up in straight lines of 5-6 people. And they are very particular about the lining up. On Princess you go to a lounge or theater and everyone puts on the life vests, the right way, and they talk about overall general ship safety. They are no brainers, but still it was good for first time (& even 4x) cruisers to hear this information.

A great crossing on this magnificent ship ... by ejill17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Transatlantic

We were on our second transatlantic cruise, this one on the Royal Princess, which left from Barcelona and also called at Valencia, Cartagena, Cadiz, Gibralter, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Lanzarote. Amazing time: lovely ship with lots to do on many days at sea (which we love); good friends; great experiences.

Mediterranean by kazzaconidi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe

Royal Princess was a beautiful ship. The tours we did were fine although the city walking tours are pretty expensive, with a bit of research of each city you can do them yourself.

We enjoyed this cruise although 25 days was just a little too long. The last 7 days was crossing the Atlantic and I wish There were more activities on the ship.

Not my favorite ship for... by ship2014

Sail date: /
Ship: Royal Princess

Not my favorite ship for sure. It's laid out weird. The food in dining room is bad We had to pay for specialty dining which wasn't as good as it normally is. The service in dining rooms is not that great. They were out of almost all the wine except the cheap stuff like Woodbridge and clos du Bois which was maddening because we and my six friends bought the drink package, as we like nice wines and there was not ONE wine that was "up to $12" on the entire ship - even in Vines- the wine bar. They only have 2 specialty choices for a ship this big and with food this bad they should have like 6 choices. The cabins are very basic. I used to be a fan of Princess and have been on probably 10 of them but now I'm changing my tune. Time to move on. So disappointing.

Fun trip, but with older crowd. by Bill847

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ports and the ship's food kind of spoiled for me on this trip. The food was un-inspire overall and most ports are way over develop and become a tourist traps. Maybe we like traveling on roads less travel and cruise are the exact opposite. But we can save cruise trips for families or friends in big groups.

It was good except for a few failures on the part of Princess Cruise Lines by dmiddletonx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Lack of wine selection was a pain. Most nights if you requested a particular bottle on the wine list it was not available. Internet bad. Overall a good cruise but I would think twice about a Princess Cruises again.

Just finished an 11 day... by taszard

Sail date: /
Ship: Royal Princess

Just finished an 11 day Mediterranean on the Royal so here's my input to whom it may concern 😃 Embarkation flawless. They say to check in between 1-5 but that's because your room wont be ready till 1. We got out of the taxi in Barcelona at 11:15 and were onboard by 12. They gave us the option to drop off our carry on in our room but since it wasn't ready we decided not to. Our steward was great. He offered us champagne even though were nobody special and when I asked him why he did that he said "it was because we first met him with a smile" and they have the option to offer champagne to any one in their section so keep that in mind .You might not get it but be nice and don't be grumpy especially on your first day on the ship. Disembarkation just as smooth. Food excellent in every section with so many choices. People that complain just want to complain regardless if Gordon Ramsay cools every night for them. Entertainment on the Royal disappointing. On the Regal production shows like Fiera were a hit. On the Royal musicals such as oldies, or music of he world or solo singers in the main theater were the norm. Comedian was funny. Excursions were good and well organized. Another good job by Princess.

Wonderful ship to sail the... by mrsnicko59

Sail date: /
Ship: Royal Princess

Wonderful ship to sail the Mediterranean. Large but not crowded. Cannot fault the food or service. Cabin was spacious and although the balcony was small it was still room enough for 2. Entertainment was standard. Some disappointment in the shops as nothing new or different. Appears most cruise lines stock the same type of products. Ports of call were excellent. Yours offered were variable although over priced. Overall a very enjoyable time was had.

Lovely ship and staff by mcmp59

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The Royal Princess is a lovely ship with plenty to do and lovely staff. The food is excellent. Our one gripe was that this was a 7 night cruise and was labelled as 2 formal nights. For some reason this turned out to be only 1 formal night. The second time Princess have done this to us, really annoying when the ladies have purchased dresses for the occasion.

Overall Great Experience by jo000pink

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Overall the cruise met my expectation in terms of places visited, food, service, entertainment and ambiance. Fellow passengers were generally nice. I was happy that I won a painting during an art lucky draw, Major disappointment was not able to disembark at Mykonos due to bad weather conditions. Although at sea the weather seem alright
