Ship did not meet our expectations but the passengers made it great. by PHILLY

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Freee internet was a joke because connections could not be made while minutes were charged. Big mistake taking away the Skywalkers lounge and adding Princess Live. Walkways were narrow and all activities were in the central attrium which had limited seating and standing only viewing fromn 3 levels.

Royal Princess 10th - 17th November 2013 Eastern Caribbean by dancingenius

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This ship is beautiful.  We have sailed with Princess before, and like their format very much. This cruise did not disappoint, however, we all felt that little things were not quite as good as our previous experiences with Princess.

The dining rooms were cold, take a wrap.

The dining room staff some were good, but others needed further training.

The good side was the evening entertainment,

The ship itself.

The daily entertainment.

The music around the ship with different groups

The overall experience was good, we would certainly go on the ship again, and sail with Princess to other destinations.

strange ship design;bad sports deck compared to rccl;Americans Do Not watch soccer on tv yet this on tv virtually 24/7. Elevators were terrible according to everyone we spoke to. The entertainment was awesome;the food court was never crowded'and the food was very good. The crew and staff were great.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This was the most spectacular cruise we have ever been on and we have been on over 20 cruises. The ports were great, the excursions, too. The food and the service were awesome and we will continue to sail on Princess - going for cruise #13 next.

Great ship, great crew, great ports by Ilovevacations

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This was our third cruise although one of them was just three days which hardly counts. We were a little worried about a few problems since this is a new ship and we thought they may still be working some bugs out, but we didn't have any problems. The ship is beautiful and the crew very efficient. We saw four shows in the large theatre and enjoyed them all and on other nights we participated in some of the games and contests they had throughout the ship. We used the anytime dining plan rather than the traditional dining and ate around 7:00 - 7:30 and didn't experience any long lines. The food was nicely varied and always delicious. The first formal night we decided to eat in the buffet since we decided I wouldn't pack a suit, although I did have a tie, but the second formal night we went ahead and ate in the main dining room since we wanted the Beef Wellington and nothing was said. The ports were amazing. We were on the Barcelona to Venice direction and it seemed every port just got better and better.

Royal Medierranean Sailing by CruisinFamily

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Overall it was a very good experience with interesting ports. This was our first Princess cruise (we usually take Royal Caribbean) and the Royal Princess is a beautiful ship. It is very well appointed and elegant. There were some hiccups on our sailing, though, with small things like spotty internet (although I can't say as I've ever experienced good internet at sea), hassles like a hour plus delay getting off ship in Athens, and concerning things like a loss of power for a half hour or so (on a brand new ship?). After a long day in port, we sometimes found ourselves avoiding the dining room at dinner because the service was slow (we had anytime dining) and the food was good but not great. Our cabin steward was passable - sometimes didn't get fresh towels even when we left them on the floor. The front desk staff was nice enough, but we kept getting conflicting information from them about how to pick up an item held by security. Getting on an off the ship on port days was not as smooth as we've experienced on other lines. Princess sometimes had just one line to check people off and on the ship, although it was a nice touch to offer wet towels to wipe off before getting on board. We didn't think there was a variety of entertainment. It seemed that at night your choice was the casino or music/dance options at various bars. The itinerary kept us at sea almost everyday, so when we had a day at sea we didn't want/need much entertainment. The pool area was overrun with young children, but that was probably because all European families go on vacation in mid-August. We found ourselves staying in the room to watch a movie - the Royal Princess has a great selection of recent releases as well as some classics available anytime in the cabin (side note that sometimes it didn't work).

Great time with super destinations by Dontwanttogohom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We really enjoyed our cruise. We were well taken care of aboard ship and had lots of fun ashore. The Royal Princess is a great ship and while large, we were able to do what we wanted.

That cruise was wonderfully relaxing. We had a great time, the crew on board were great and we had no issues with anything other than some minor issue with the medallion app.

CA Coastal Cruise in the Fall by infonurse

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess

Although I have taken this cruise before, this is a good cruise for those who are either new to cruising or just would like to experience the cruise experience without having to leave the ship. The staff on the Royal Princess are professional and attentive. There are plenty of activities to keep most people engaged and interested.

Great ship and itinerary by GenieCruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Royal Princess

I enjoyed every port. It was my first solo cruise and I met a few other solos, no doubt because the solo fare was so good. The ship had less than 900 passengers so nothing was crowded and service was excellent.

Fun trip to Alaska on Royal Princess. by LaurenHillbrage

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Overall good experience but could have been better. Highlight and thing that made it special was Darren Dowler, performer extraordinaire. Cruise director Natalie was awesome. These two were the best ever on any cruise.
