Review summary

We had a great cruise but too short. Couldn’t fault the staff, food, entertainment or music. We just love the decor of the piazza which looks like a Roman or Greek palace and definitely has the “wow” factor. We miss the Egyptian themed Explorers Lounge and the older version of the Wheelhouse bar with its dark wood panelling found on Grand Class ships.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate mainly in buffet. Plenty of choice with plenty of Indian, Italian, Mexican, English and vegan dishes. Prawns and salmon were available everyday for those who like seafood.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was fabulous. We enjoyed dancing to two bands - Ocean Club and Crimson Red Duo. Stage shows such as Encore were great.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Could not fault the staff. Always greeted you with a smile and a good morning.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
We miss the Explorers Lounge and the traditional version of the Wheelhouse Bar and lounge found on the smaller Grand Class ships. Most of the music and dancing on the Royal Class ships is in the piazza/ atrium.

Cabin / Stateroom

Slightly dated. Beds are the best of any cruise line.

Ship tip

Join in on the dancing in the piazza. A lot of fun!
