Review summary

I was sad getting Covid for the 1st time ever. But, I must say that the service was IMPECCABLE! The gentleman that called daily told me I could have anything I needed at no additional charge. They have room service for ALL guest at no additional charge. You can order right from your TV or on the app on your phone. Super easy and great! Food, drinks, etc. A real nice touch. I also thought they should have sprayed EVERYONES hands when entering the buffet with hand sanitizers. Pre Covid EVERY ship we've been on has someone doing this. NO one was there to do this. Sometimes they suggested washing hands but not very often. It should be manitory with hand sanitizer for everyone entering.

Evening dinner in the included restaurants were very good. Buffet was not very good. Seemed like a lot of odd foods, semi cold, and often seemed to be leftover/stale.

Didn't seem like much to do. But, quarantined to my room with Covid.. maybe I missed something. Did get a Bingo day in... the girl doing Bingo was tooooo much. Omg, I couldn't wait for it to be over. She also, did the Deal or No Deal... I felt like jumping overboard. They call that entertainment but it all comes at an additional cost. The BEST was Princess has the BEST hot tubs, they are hot, and have great jets. The best of any other cruise line we've done. Also, they Spa was GREAT TOO!!

Not impressed with the few shows I got to see. I got Covid on the 7th day of the 15 day cruise and was quarantined to my room. So, maybe I missed the best??

Ship was easy to maneuver. Windows dirty everywhere and made for viewing out the buffet area hard to see. 😞

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was typical of other cruise lines along with the balcony. Sorta missed the cute towel animals we are accustomed too. Room stewart, Noel, good but never addressed by our names like previous cruise lines. Not a big deal just a nice touch that was missed.

Ship tip

Watch your charges carefully. My roommate had daily charges added to her bill and had to reach out to them to be removed. I purchased the "Royal Princess " package for drinks, prepaid crew appreciation, internet, and more. I also was being charged daily for crew appreciation even though I already paid it in advance. I had to ask for internet as they didn't show I purchased the package. When in fact I bought it online and paid more for the pkg than what was advertised. I paid $79 per day vs the $60 as advertised... still haven't figured that out. Then they had no record of the payment. The Guest Service Manager had to do some digging but he did find it. He/ Jeremy was FANTASTIC!! HE went above and beyond!! He made me change my negative attitude. Great job Jeremy. Also ask for a print out of charges before leaving. They said they would email it... 4 days later no copy or email. 😞 Pack some WARM clothes. It's freezing cold alllll the way to Hawaii. Who knew!?!?!

Didn't seem like much to do here. But we did book this trip at the last minute with little time to do my normal research. We did a Hop On Hop Off bus that we purchased at the port.

Big City. Only was able to one excursion due to Covid. Didn't know I had Covid, but canceled a day due to feeling bad. So maybe I missed a bunch. :(

My friends I visited via my balcony during my lockdown! They had no concern of Covid. Lol I was unable to get off the ship under lockdown.
