Review summary

Loved the ship, food okay, met a lot of friendly people, I mean a lot, that really make it nice. But, this is written during the corona virus, we were shocked we were allowed off, as very few hand sanitizers

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Medallion made the process simple and quick, even got on early, albeit you had the hassle at home before you left

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was so so, desserts looked fabulous yet had no flavor.. Dining room staff were great, however it seemed to be missing something. Crown Grill was very nice, probably the best on the ship. Alfredos has the potential but is only pizza , and not that special

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There are more than enough areas on sea days to enjoy the sun. The movie screen is really impressive, it’s not high energy but just right

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Awesome cruise Director, Marcus! Not the intense shows Royal Caribbean has, but just right for the mature Princess crowd. The Princess theatre fills easily

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Olga was our cabin steward on Aloha deck, she was super nice, from Ukraine. It doesn’t take long for the crew to get to know you intimately. Even got to know the “Love Boat Legend” in the Symphony dining room, very interesting story, and 28 years with Princess

Cabin / Stateroom

Balcony cabin, small.,

Ship tip

Keep in mind the average age is probably 60, some in 30’s, there were over 1,000 over 70, it’s not a party ship

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

3 out of 5
Industrial area, but a reasonable 30 minute drive to LAX. Facilities are descent

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

5 out of 5
Safe, no problems, could come back a few more times

Mazatlan, Mexico

5 out of 5
Did a city tour, was really moved at the cathedral,

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Beautiful area, safe, apparently party town at night

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super simple, 3,100 people off easily in a short time, very organized

Traveler Photos

The Piaza Surf and turf On the "warm" sea day, some very impressive designing to keep the wind away from you Beautiful ambiance

Alfredo’s on the Royal also has salads, calzone , desserts as well as pizza. Alfredo’s on the Grand Princess only has pizza
