Review summary

This will be my last cruise with Princess. Beautiful ships great customer service but the entertainment really lacks. This was my 3rd cruise and it seems to have gotten worse each time. Also their shore excursions are way too expensive for what you get. Do your research For better prices from competitors.

Ship tip

Don’t. Their entertainment is not geared to be enjoyable for a broad age group. Tough to find fun things to do on sea days

I agree that entertainment is not the draw for me either. Love the relaxed atmosphere on Princess ships and the elegant surroundings with muted color tones. Pools, movies under the stars, International Cafe, MDR food and the theatre shows are all great! Just feel lucky to be able to cruise once in awhile for the best vacations ever!

I choose Princess because of the slower entertainment. I don’t need to see best chest hair contest or crazy dancing at the pool to be entertained. A few trivia and game shows and a musical or comedy is all I need. I’m pretty young too. Research your cruise lines. I’m so grateful Princess is slower paced. I don’t need “Vegas” on my ship.

I'm with you LTCruiser. If we don't care for the entertainment it sure doesn't make the cruise any less fun than it is. We love the ports and just being on the ship. If the shows are good, like Grease, which was fantastic on Independence, then that's an extra plus. Cruising is the best vacation ever ⛴🌴

It's clear the responses are right on; different strokes for different folks. For anybody else who reads this review; keep in mind reading any review, it is one person's opinion and you should experience and form your own opinion!

I also agree we don't need an amusement park on water..the views with some bingo or trivia or music is all we need. If one of the theater shows has some great music we will attend like Encore and Bravo but enjoy unplugging and being with friends

I agree with not wanting my cruise ship to be an amusement park. I am quite content with gazing out at the ocean, rolling into ports, great food and being surrounded by happy people. With choosing Princess I know I will travel in class and be able to relax. Different strokes for different folks.

Agree with LTcruiser. We cruise to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery, meet folks, etc. Entertainment in the theater is not a biggie for us. Maybe an age thing since we’re retired. Love Princess ships because they are not amusement parks.

I guess everyone cruises for different reasons. Entertainment is way down the list for us when choosing a cruise. We generally cruise for the itinerary and don’t need a lot of onboard entertainment to enjoy the cruise.
