Review summary

THE SERVICE AND FRIENDLINESS OF THE CREW AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS JUST ALMOST NONEXISTENT. TALKED WITH OTHERS THAT HAVE CRUISED ON BOARD AND THEY TOO WERE HAVING THE SAME EXPERIENCE. YOU FELT LIKE YOU WERE BOTHERING THEM AND THEY REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT. MY HUSBAND AND I BOUGHT A BOTTLE OF WINE AND DID NOT GET IT TO THE TABLE UNTIL A HALF HOUR LATER AND TOLD THEM TO SEND THE FOOD BACK UNTIL WE GOT THE WINE. THEY SEEMED TO BE VERY ANNOYED WITH IT. SO WE LEARNED YOU ORDER WINE OR ANY COCKTAIL FIRST BEFORE YOU ORDER YOUR FOOD AND WE WERE NOT ON THE DRINKING PACKAGE. WE PAID FOR ALL OUR DRINKS. IF YOU ASK FOR ANYTHING IT WAS USUALLY ABOUT THREE TIMES AND THEN PERHAPS YOU GET IT. JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE LIKE TOWELS IN THE ROOM HAD TO CALL THREE TIMES AND STILL DID NOT GET IT. SO WE BROUGHT THE TOWELS FROM THE POOL TO USE. WHEN WE SAW THE GUY IN THE HALLWAY AND WAS FACE TO FACE AND SAID GIVE US TWO EXTRA TOWELS IN THE ROOM EACH DAY THEN WE GOT IT. I CAN KEEP GOING. IT WAS NOT NORWEGIAN WHERE YOU ALWAYS FEEL LIKE THEY WANT TO DO MORE FOR YOU AND WANT YOU TO COME BACK. WHICH THIS WAS OUR FIRST AND LAST TIME THAT WE WILL CRUISE WITH PRINCESS. IT'S A SHAME BECAUSE THEY HAVE LONG DOCK TIMES ON THE ISLANDS WHICH WE STAYED OFF THE BOAT AS LONG AS WE COULD. OH FORGOT THE BEST ONE TOO. YES WE WERE THE CRUISE WITH THE MURDER ON IT. ENTERTAINMENT WAS A JOKE AND DID NOT HAVE SHOWS EVERY NIGHT. NORWEGIAN EVERY NIGHT IS A SHOW EVEN IF ITS JUST DANCING. AND THE LIVE MUSIC THE MUSICIANS WERE GOOD BUT AFTER ABOUT TWO, THREE DAYS YOU GET TIRED OF HEARING THE SAME MUSIC BEING PLAYED. I JUST LOOKED AT THIS SURVEY AND IT SAID MY OVERALL RATING IS A 2.5. NO! PRINCESS GETS A 1 FROM US. THE ISLANDS WE WENT TO GET A FULL 5. THE ISLANDS WERE WONDERFUL IF YOU LIKE SNORKELING SCUBA AND WATER ACTIVITIES, BEAUTIFUL. THE PEOPLE WERE WARM FRIENDLY AND RELAXED AND SERVICES WERE GREAT. WE ALSO FELT VERY SAFE EVERYWHERE WE WENT. WALKED TO BEACHES AND FELT TOTALLY SAFE. THE MOST FUNNY THING IS THE ROOM THAT IS SHOWING ON THIS IS THE ROOM THEY CHANGED ON US AND DID NOT TELL US THAT THEY CHANGED AND MADE US FEEL WE WERE WRONG TO THINK THAT WAS OUR ROOM. SO WE NEVER WERE IN THE ROOM WE BOOKED SO WE CAN'T COMMENT ON IT. BUT THE 9TH FLOOR ROOM WAS NASTY SMELLING AND DIRTY. THE ROOM WE FINALLY GOT WAS NICE 615 ON THE 15TH FLOOR BUT IT WAS A VERY HORRIBLE BAD EXPERIENCE TO GET WHAT WE PAID FOR. WE WILL NEVER CRUISE WITH THEM AGAIN. GOING TO CRUISE AND NEVER STRAY AWAY FROM THE CRUISE LINE WE ENJOY AND FEEL SAFE ON THAT BEGINS WITH AN "N". REMEMBER WE HAD THE MURDER ON THE CRUISE. 4:30 A.M. WAS ANNOUNCED IN THE ROOMS OF AN EMERGENCY AT LIFEBOAT 2. IT TOTALLY SCARED THE HELL OUT OF US. AND WE IMMEDIATELY GOT READY TO RUN SINCE WE WERE NEVER TOLD WHAT WAS GOING ON UNTIL WE FOUND OUT IN ARUBA FROM LOCALS WHAT HAPPENED. POOR MANAGEMENT.

FIRST PROBLEM THEY CHANGED MY ROOM AND DID NOT CONTACT US AND PUT US ON THE 9TH FLOOR FROM OUR 15TH FLOOR ROOM. OUR FIRST DAY THE MINUTE WE GOT OUR ROOM INFORMATION WAS A MESS. IT WAS A FIGHT. THEY TOLD ME I WAS NOT GUARENTEED THE ROOM. I WAS CRYING, MY HUSBAND WAS VERY UPSET. I TOLD THEM I WOULD HAVE NOT TAKEN THE CRUISE BEING ON THE 9TH FLOOR. WE WERE TOLD THEY COULD NOT CHANGE THE ROOM. I SHOWED THEM THE PAPERS AND THEY SAID NO THAT WAS NOT MY ROOM EVEN THOUGH I BOOKED IT IN FEBRUARY AND SHOWED THEM ALL THE PAPERS FROM . GOT A CALL SATURDAY THAT THEY HAD A ROOM FOR US SO WE HAD TO FUSS AND MOVE OUR ROOM BACK TO THE 15TH FLOOR BUT STILL NOT OUR ROOM WE PICKED. AND THE UPSET HAD ALREADY RUINED THE TRIP. I HAVE ALWAYS BOOKED MY CRUISES WITH AND WENT ON NORWEGIAN CRUISES AND NEVER EVER EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM. WE HAD TO DEMAND TO SEE MANAGEMENT AND THEY SENT ONLY BRANDON AND I THINK HER NAME WAS DAFFNEY. THEY ALL HAD A SCRIPT ON WHAT TO SAY EXACTLY THE SAME. THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME MY ROOM AND THEY WOULD PUT US ON A LIST. THEY MADE US FEEL LIKE WE WERE STUPID AND HAD NO RIGHT TO BE UPSET THAT THEY SCREWED UP BY CHANGING OUR ROOM AND DID NOT KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED. THE GUY WHO WAS THE INITIAL GUY AT THE GUEST SERVICES DESK WAS NASTY AND MADE ME FEEL IT WAS MY FAULT. KEPT TELLING ME TO CALL AND THE OTHER TWO SAID THE SAME THING. I TRIED BUT NO ONE ANSWERED ON . ALSO I TOLD THEM IT DOESN'T MATTER BECAUSE YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT YOU CAN'T GIVE ME MY ROOM. I HAVE BEEN TRAVELING FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND NEVER HAD MY VACATION START OUT THIS WAY. WE EVEN ASKED THEM TO GIVE US A REFUND. WE WANTED TO GO HOME AND WOULD HAVE STAYED IN FLORIDA FOR THE WEEK. THEY SAID THEY DON'T GIVE REFUNDS ON THE SHIP. BUT THEY DID SAY WE COULD LEAVE. I TOLD THEM SURE AND YOU GUYS KEEP MY MONEY. I CAN'T USE THE WORDS HOW HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IT WAS. ALSO WHEN WE GOT TO THE ROOM THAT THEY PUT US IN ON THE 9TH FLOOR AS SOON AS WE WALKED IN IT SMELLED OF MOLD. SO WE CALLED IMMEDIATELY. HE SAID HE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT. WE WENT OUT TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT CAME BACK AND WAS TOLD THE MOLD WAS FROM A SHOWER CURTAIN AND HE CHANGED IT. THE ROOM DIDN'T HAVE ANY GLASSES TO USE OR CUPS. WE HAD TO CALL FOR THAT. DID NOT GET THOSE UNTIL LATER. WE TOTALLY UPSET AND WIPED OUT FROM ALL THE UPSET ABOUT THE ROOM. THE SOFAS IN BOTH ROOMS LOOK LIKE A FRAT HOUSE SOFAT THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE SAT ON, DIRTY.

DON'T EXPECT TO HAVE GOOD SERVICE AND FRIENDLINESS. THEY JUST WANT THE DOLLAR.

They gave away your room! I hope it’s better in 8 months when I go on the Royal. And I can’t even think about that poor woman who was murdered! But that can happen on any ship, I suppose.

This is a sad review to read. First, the murder of that poor woman. We are loyal Princess cruisers and have never experienced the horrible service you received. We are scheduled on the Royal Dec 8th and again on the 15th. This will be our first on this ship. Should we encounter the issues you experienced, you better believe they will hear from us ! I can assure you this is NOT TYPICAL of Princess. May I suggest you write Carnival Corporation about your cruise. There is NO EXCUSE for the way you were treated.

Hmmm... still seeing mostly good reviews on the ship (other than about the entertainment cutbacks). The mold I can believe, our last trip was that way, still recovering. 318 days (not really counting, have three before then) and looking forward to 10 days and the Sea of Cortez. Wondering if I can get a refund if a storm interferes with our plans????🤓🤓🤓

Some people you just can't satisfy. Read the passenger contract and if you find they did something contrary to the contract you might have a claim and if you do call the company. You yourself said they don't give refunds here meaning on the ship, you might considered making the best of it and contacted Princess when you returned. We have cruised Princess 19 times and my mom 50 times and never experienced anything like you described. However we have never been on a ship where a murder occurred.
