Review summary
I did not enjoy my time on the Royal. The boat was too big for me. I had to wait for elevators, service, activities, etc. There were not many activities offered that you did not have to pay an additional charge on the sea days. It was too cold to use the pool/outside areas. The waiter's were not very friendly unless you were buying bottles of wine. If you did not drink, the dinner service was very slow.

Thank you for your honest review. You stated that the ship was too big for your interests, and (in my own small mind) that is a valid complaint. Readers will understand that the bigger is not always the better, and learn from your loss.
The same for your other complaints - lack of free activities (other cruise lines may do better on this front), too cold (important to consider location and season) and speed of service. (I have found on my one Princess cruise that the line is mainly geared to a more sedate crowd than it's sister line Carnival or its competitor RCL).
Hopefully you will enjoy your next cruise more.

Thank you for posting your review. Some of your comments seem to penalize the cruise ship when really they are things you should have been cognizant of prior to booking. Things like ship size and weather conditions at specific time of year should not have come as a surprise. Hopefully you will have a better next cruise.

I truly do feel bad for you. My very first cruise on the Royal Princess was absolutely wonderful! Yes, I had to wait for elevators with rude people pushing and shoving, my toilet wouldn't work at one point, the art auctioneer was not a truthful person, I came down with serious stomach problems that sent me running! My list could go on...yet I looked past all that happened to me. The choice is ours to make on how we feel each day, "attitude, attitude attitude". Oh, I cannot forget the weather! It was a torrential downpour for three solid days and I thought I was on Noah's arc. None of this stopped me from having a wonderful time. Come this January I leave on another 10 day cruise with the Royal Princess! I am SO EXCITED!

How unfortunate that everything seemed to go wrong on your cruise. I hope that your next cruise goes smoother.

The boat (SHIP) was too big? You didn't know this when you booked? It was too cold to use the pool/spa? Umm, yeah...the British Isles can be that way! How dare Princess not provide warm weather for your cruise!!! "If you did not drink, the dinner service was slow.". Not really sure you can tie one to the other!!!
