We enjoyed the ship and it's layout. The food was excellent although they ran short (supply issues). Not their fault. We understood.

Review summary

We choose this cruise for the itinerary. I think we are a little young yet for HAL. Missed some of the fun games in the evenings other lines have. Music, food and shows were wonderful. Not sorry we did it, as we loved the ports, our cabin was comfy, staff were great overall. Missed other fun items other lines have in the evenings. We are not gamblers or big drinkers but like to play games and have fun.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Great food. Servers a bit slow to refill coffee etc. Good selections on the buffets. They occasionally stopped making evening snacks early which was frustrating.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were great. Most activities were when we were onshore. Could have had more variety in the evenings

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows were excellent. Some of the music on music walk was deafening. It did not need to be that loud. We left early sometimes due to how loud it was.

Children's Programs

only saw a few kids on the ship. We do not have young children. The kids center looked nice from afar.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Refills on our coffee was slow. When first seated they were right there, but hard to get refills. We were told many people were just training. Overall they did pretty good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Once we got the layout figured out it was easy to get around. Ship was very clean. They were constantly cleaning stair rails etc.

Cabin / Stateroom

family oceanview, we had done a guarantee and we loved the location. .Easy for getting on and off at ports. wasn't far from steps or forward elevators. We had 1 and 3/4 bathrooms .One bath was full bath with tub and shower, Other bath had a shower and sink.

Ship tip

find a bartender you like and stick with them

embarkation was very smooth

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

chilly windy day here. can't control mother nature. Staffing issues here due to the weather, they could not get workers to the island that day. It was sort of a fee for all and just chilly. We went back to the ship early. Usually this is relaxing, but mother nature did not cooperate.
