Review summary
Met some great people but there were real problems with this ship - it ought to be mothballed! They couldn't get the AC working - never had that problem on eight other cruise lines. Was told by fellow passenger at the end that it was the thermostat but they kept working on the unit in the ceiling. Many times we had no cold water. Turn on the sink faucet to cold and hot water came out; turn to hot and scalding water came out. I could change fiver times a day. wait an hour, cold water again; another hour no cold. Impossible to take a shower some mornings because of scalding water; three days before the end I demanded a place to shower; they provided a key to another room to use for showers only. Many water leaks on the ships and blowers in every hallway to blow the carpets dry. My wife and many others developed bronchitis which she still has. Got an expensive bill from their medical facility. I hear Holland America ships are great but no this one. Service was really good but the food was mediocre at best.
