The Good, the Bad and the So-so by JoyceP7

Sail date: /
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was on the whole well maintained. However the sink in our cabin had cracks around the drain. The mattresses were thin and hard. The food in the main dining room was excellent. Our waiter knew which dishes were the best and I enjpyed his recommendations. We appriciated the chance to buy a reasonable wine package which we enjoyed with our dinners, Since we like to read, we always check out the ship's library. Unfortunately half the shelves were empty, there wasn't a librarian and the books were old and in poor condition.

A very pleasant experience by CarolM23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ship very clean and easy to get around on. We knew where everything was by the end of the first day.Beautifully decorated. Service was not what we were used to, i.e. normally both dining and cabin stewards called us by name on the first day and all thru the cruise. We thought the food was fine but again not as exceptional as we were used to. Sat in tender way too long while waiting to reboard ship, it was very hot inside and hard to breath.

What A Good Time!!!! by RoseD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall this ship was very nice. It did not have the glitter of another ship I have been on, but that does not bother me. There was a lot to do when you wanted to do something and there was also the peace and quiet you wanted when you wanted peace and quiet.

A Wonderful Family Vacation by SuzanneR1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A truly wonderful family vacation. The staff was excellent. From the wait staff and room attendants to the Children's activities staff, Everyone was delightful, professional, and there to make our cruise the best vacation possible. I traveled with a family of eight ranging from a grandmother down to a seven year old. Each an every one of us agreed it was the best vacation of our lives. Great food, Great service, Great accommodations, and Great weather. I wouldn't have traded it for anything. (Except maybe a longer cruise)

Just what we needed by BeverlyH7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was beautiful, clean, service great. Pool area alittle to small, with not enough sitting/laying out areas. The children's activities were great but would have loved to see more family thing to do during the day while at see. The kids got bored during the day while at sea. But overall a great family vacation, and would definetly cruise with children again.

the best cruise we ever had by WolfA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

From the moment we were dropped off at the terminal we were impressed by the efficiency. A ground hostess saw me coming leaning on my cane and she took us to the head of the line. Twenty minutes later we were boarding the ship and found our cabin ready. After luncheon in the Windjammer Cafe we found our luggage outside the door. The breakfast selections at the Windjammer Cafe were very varied and tasty and the seating wonderful. Luncheon at the cafe was a little repetitous but tasty. Dinner in the diningroom was a culinary adventure, the wine selections were very good and the service the two ladies provided was delightful. Based on previous experience we had requested a table for two, but these are not available. We shared a large table with two other couples and enjoyed their company. We took two shore excursions, skipping Cozumel since we know it quite well. Most tours sold out quickly but in Georgetwon were numerous independent tour busses. The nightclub shows were very entertaining and we enjoyed them. I was looking rather forward to a "Captain's reception but it did not take place. (On several other cruises we were invited to the Captain's table for dinner. All in all- a wonderful experience.

An Average Cruise... by KarenT16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We thought the cruise was average. There was definitely nothing outstanding, and I felt that the boat was in average repair. It definitely could use some repairs. There was a need for new carpet almost everywhere, and paint and or repairs to the walls were needed too.

Relaxed, fun family vacation we needed by GaryS8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship, Rapsody of the Seas, was elegant yet comfortable. It never seemed too crowded. We brought two of our children for thier first cruise. They loved it and were in awe of so many of the areas of the ship as well as the staff. This made our time with them even more meaningful.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I was living out my fantasy of finally traveling on a cruise ship! It was really magnificent. The staff really went out of their way in all areas to be helpful. The food was wonderful in the dining room as well as in the Windjammer Cafe. I felt like this was such a restful time. We participated in some of the activities offered on board. the massages were wonderful and really helped reenergize. I would recommend this cruise to anyone!

Wonderful ship, terrible crowd by scooter2000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

We absolutely loved Rhapsody and the crew. The Israeli passengers were the worst I have ever experienced in my life. Rude, aggressive and very arrogant towards the crew and other passengers. Never, ever again

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Very little to do during the day the entertainment through the day was like being at Butlins 30 years ago ie sexy mail doing belly flops in the pool come on with a bit old for this they need to have a good shake up and think of new things to do the DJ played music around the pool did not look at the age group and was playing heavy rave music what a joke

Disappointing by fpcruisedoc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was a nice time away but disappointing experience. We prefer the smaller ships and were disappointed that Royal Caribbean would not take pride in all vessels and keep them all looking and feeling great.

Travesty of the Seas? by Damitman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Besides the other mentioned issues, we had a disruptive issue at poolside in the solarium that involved some cruiser complaining about crew members working. That cruiser, then verbally attacked another cruiser. At a gathering for members at the concierge club, I witnessed a cruiser take beverages from a bar cart left unattended. I informed a staff member, and he appeared to not have a care about the issue. There was a altercation in the centrum during the tendering fiasco in Cozumel. WOW, Just, WOW!
