Review summary

This was an excellent 7 day cruise! A different port each day...5 islands in 7 days...kept it very interesting. Though close together in the same region, these islands are very diverse. Seeing them one-right-after-the-other highlighted these stark differences. I highly recommend this itinerary, Royal Caribbean, and Rhapsody of the Seas.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
My wife and I prefer simple, no frills dining. We did not go to the main dining room nor specialty restaurants. Windjammer Buffet fit our needs. The staff there were awesome and there was enough variety to keep it interesting.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Smaller ship means fewer activities...that's OK...we're old.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Art Duo aerial acrobatic act was outstanding! Other stage shows were just average. This cruise, out of Puerto Rico, had a large Latino presence. Most of the entertainment was geared toward that group...it was very good! The veterans' recognition and last night crew recognition were the best I've seen.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Irene, from Zimbabwe, and Jane both made our meal times in the Windjammer an absolute joy! Hendrix, at the entrance, brightened each visit with his "washy, washy before yummy, yummy". Ashish always knew when it was time form my ice cream. Maria was just like family as she cared for us in our stateroom. The staff, in a word, were OUTSTANDING!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is small but very well maintained and exceptionally clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
For us, "oceanview" is the best value. We don't use the balcony when we have booked in the past. This stateroom was very adequate. It was very quiet and comfortable. Maria kept it very clean.

Ship tip

Leave the light on in the bathroom at night...works well as a night light with the door shut.

Disembarkation

Not as hectic as some cruises we have been on, but still not "smooth".
