This was the worse cruise we have ever taken out of all of our cruises. Photo booths were even set up in horrible areas and we were unable to get photos that we normally do. This one was supposed to be be extra special as we were celebrating our 15th anniversary.

Cabin / Stateroom

Constant banging on our wall or ceiling, somewhere. Could not figure out what it was or coming from, could not sleep properly due to it. It sounded like someone was knocking on our door but wasn’t. We even had our steward come in to hear and look and she could not figure it out. Ship was way too rocky as well. Miserable
We had the exact opposite experience on Rhapsody during our last Transatlantic from Barcelona. But a little research about the ship and the ports of call would have told you everything you needed to know ahead of time. Rhapsody is a great ship for adults booking a totally laid back vacation. Not much in the way of activities for kids.... You might have been better off cruising Vision or Oasis class for the family. As far as embarkation/debarkation goes, some terminals and customs gates are worse than others... Goes with the territory. Try a larger, newer ship on your next cruise and book a balcony state room, you'll be glad you did.
Unfortunate. I’ve been on Rhapsody with my wife and are going again shortly. We had the exact opposite experience and found everything was pretty good (except the smoke filled casino which was terrible 🤦🏻♂️ for non smokers ). True, the ship is not setup as a traveling amusement park like the newer ships, but we we’re not looking for that.
Sounds like you didn’t even have good experiences at any of the port stops either though and that cannot be blamed on RC or the ship. Sounds like you perhaps should have planned / researched these stops a bit better ahead of time and planned your time and activities for a more enjoyable time.
Since this is your only cruise listed here I have a feeling not much would ever please you. We had a fabulous time on Rhapsody. Try land vacation next time.
Sucks you has such a horrible time, but that’s why it’s always so important to research a ship extensively before booking. Rhapsody of the seas hasn’t been updated since 2012 and even they it only food options were added. I made the same rush booking for carnival fascination lesson learned.
