We really enjoyed our time on this cruise, but the best part was the ship itself, the Rhapsody, and the wonderful crew. The crew of the Rhapsody is amazing!
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Quick, but no shorter for Crown & Anchor Members than any others. Everyone had to stand in the same line outside and show ID at the door to get into the port building.

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining rooms and Chops were excellent! The Windjammer is chaotic as usual for breakfast and lunch. A few more staff offering beverages during meals in the Windjammer would be nice. They also have a need for change in the Windjammer regarding the station where they make waffles and french toast; the line is constant and long. They had two waffle makers in one area whereas they used to have them in two areas. Adding two at another location would help shorten a line in one area. They also added pagers for those cruisers that order omelettes so they do not have to wait for them. This takes away from the atmosphere. It is like having a dollar store rather than your hometown corner store owned by a local for 50 years. It cheapens the experience. Even worse, they give it to you after placing your order with no instructions so people leave it on their table while searching for other food and the darn things go off, and keep going off!
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Trivia. There was an egg drop competition and pool activities but overall thee seemed to be a lack of simple things. Some more meet and greet with crew would have been nice, some craft classes, a few more arcade games, etc.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The entertainment was pretty good on this ship.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff

The service was excellent overall!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We really love the design of this class of ship, and the Rhapsody is well kept.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Small as usual but home to us. It was clean, just needs a little makeover.
Ship tip
Order your drinks before going into the theater for a show. They have some problems making drinks properly or as good as other venues on board.
We had a day pass at a beach resort booked outside of the cruise line. What a wonderful and relaxing day! Just don't let the taxi drivers gouge you. Get a set price up-front.
The port terminal area is not much to write home about and it is a little chaotic just outside the port area. We had a private excursion that involved snorkeling, monkeys and sloths and had a wonderful day!
This was a nice port with very nice local residents. There was a lack of excursions though. The port terminal is very large, and very expensive. We went to old town Mahahual for a few hours for lunch and shopping which was great, and you can find nice places to enjoy the beach and water wherever you decide to have lunch or just drinks.
We chose to take our own luggage off with us. We had an assigned departure number given to us the previous evening showing a departure time of 8:20 to 8:50 am. At approximately 7:45 our number was called. When we got down to where they announced we were to go it we were redirected to the main dining room where we stood in line for 20 minutes only to learn that our line was joining in with another line around the corner, where we again waited like cars merging in rush hour traffic. Going through customs was quick and easy and then someone in the terminal from Royal Caribbean demanded that everyone must exit the building into the pouring rain. There was not enough room under the canopy for even 1/4 of the passengers to stand out of the rain. And, no explanation why we could not wait in the building since we had already cleared customs.
