This was our first cruise experience so we don’t have a lot to compare to, but we had a wonderful time and would go again. Not a lot of kids, lots of relaxing and fun ports. Highly recommend.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Practically no line, friendly people and straightforward check in process. Nice to wait on the boat with food and drinks instead of stuck in a terminal.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Buffet was perfectly fine. Steakhouse and Italian restaurants were out of this world, especially Giovanni’s. We took advantage of a killer 3 dinner special offered on board. No regrets at all! Waiters in the dining room seemed a bit rushed. Several broken dishes and forgot to offer cocktails a few times.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We enjoyed the pool a few times and the casino as well. The planned events were a bit above our age group (Ie geared towards older folks) but we had only 2 days at sea and were otherwise on excursions and busy so it wasn’t a huge deal.
Children's Programs
Didn’t bring kids
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
There were a few unfriendly folks that needed to smile a bit more - oddly these seemed to be bartenders. But mostly the staff was super nice and falling all over themselves to help you.

Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
This is a great space for 2. Didn’t feel cramped and loved having direct access to the fresh ocean air. This cabin feels far from people and is really quiet. Two watch-outs: You hear the bass from the theater sometimes but never appallingly late so it didn’t bother us. Also this is the prime area for more motion on the boat (front, up high) so if you’re sensitive to that bear it in mind. Otherwise very very happy.
Ship tip
This is not a huge boat with lots of sporting activities. It’s aboit 2k passengers versus the 5k passengers on mega ships. It’s more about relaxing which was fine for us. Not a lot of kids so great for couples and those trying to get away from the child crowd.
You have to drive about an hour for most excursions so beware of that. You also have to tender from the boat to shore which adds some time to the day and my husband didn’t love it.
Feels a bit touristy but is a great place to relax on a beach and recover from the action in other excursions. We had to walk through a huge market and find our own taxi to the resort but it was an easy short drive.
This felt a bit unorganized and took the most time of anything we did. Tip: if you want to spend the money, find a valet to take your luggage to the front of the customs line.
