Great cruise. If you don't have kids, consider timing as we went during spring break.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We preferred the buffet for its variety and flexibility. Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Izumi, one of the specialty restaurants as well.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Wish local wifi was free, not another extra charge for accessing it, so we could coordinate with our friends instead of looking for them to make plans in person. Other than that, there was a good variety of activities to choose from.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Rhapsody had a good variety of entertainment, including their show performers and several headliners. We were surprised at the variety in one week: song and dance shows, comedian, hypnotist and a headlinger singer/impersonator. Enjoyed the Schooner piano bar. A lot of other entertainment activities were passenger driven, such as karaoke, trivia, dance and game shows.

Clean, great steward, and we had much more storage space than we expected.
Ship tip
The Viking Crown Lounge is a great quiet place by day - can enjoy the pool view and music without it blasting you and it's smoke free.
We took a post-cruise excursion since we were in town for a day before our flight. Had a nice overview of Tamps and our luggage was cared for between debarkation and hotel check in time.
We planned to snorkel and have been to Grand Cayman before. So we opted to walk a few minutes south of the tender dock to a dive shop, rented a locker, and snorkeled off the shore right there.
We went to Chichen Itza, one of the seven modern wonders of the world. Excursion operator was great: interesting information and kept us on time. Be aware, it's a two and a half hour drive from Cozumel - so we had five hours on the bus and about one hour at the ruins. RC used a privately booked ferry from Cozumel to the mainland where we met up with the tour operator. Glad we saw this amazing site, but we didn't have time to shop or see Cozumel when we returned.
Enjoyed cave tubing at Jaguar's Paw. Tour guide Alvaro had lots of interesting information to share and guide Noe took us through the cave. We didn't feel rushed and had ample time to swim at the end. Local lunch we delicious. Great experience.
This is a port built for cruise ship passengers and separate from any local towns. It was filled with souvenir shops and a couple of beach style bars and food venues. There were three ships docked, so the place was bustling with visitors. We booked a dive excursion and still had time to shop and have lunch.
