Review summary

Overall excellent but really pissed that there is no free wifi on board and we were forced to buy wifi services which did not always work. This was a huge disappointment and Royal Caribbean should discontinue the practise and offer free wifi on board.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Poor as we waited for hours for the ship to dock then lined up for hours to board. They should have processed us while we waited.

Hi, We’re going on this same cruise in 2019 and currently booked for a room in the same area. Were there any issues with engine / propeller vibrations with this room? Thanks!

The reason cruises are an economical vacation is that not everyone wants to have endless amounts of alcohol, go on organized shore excursions or spend all their time on line. If all those things were included for everyone it would make the cruise extremely expensive. In my opinion, I feel the cruise lines are doing a smart thing by making these things options. If you don't want to pay for wifi try cutting back on your on line time next cruise and go seek a place with free wifi in port.

Cruises are for doing whatever and however each individual wants. There is no wrong way to cruise and no one should judge another for how they want to live their cruise life. I don't have a Zuckerberg account and I have my reasons but I don't judge or try to convince others who choose to. Society is changing, cruise lines have to adapt or they'll having only a dying customer base. If it bothers anyone that people want internet and are willing to pay for it there are lines that aren't innovating and still offer a very traditional or legacy cruise experience. RCI isn't one of them. Not trying to attack, just pointing out facts. If people want to disconnect that's cool, if people want to stay connected, that's cool too. It's a big ship, room for both.

Aren’t cruises for vacation and to get away from social media’s?

Ships in the middle of an ocean can't drag a 4,000 mile long cable to shore behind them. They use satellites which are super expensive. If they were to include it they would have to increase base fares. Lots of people don't want it and they will be equally pissed they have to pay more so you can get wifi included.

No cruise on any ship offers free wi-Fi all cost... if you watch the website you can get it discounted

The only way to get free wifi is to book a very high end suite or if you are a repeat cruiser with a specific line. Sometimes they offer it for "free" as part of a special booking package though. But then it is not really free is it? 😎
