Review summary

Itinerary was great. We wish we could have had about 2 more hours in the afternoon in each port. I recommend taking excursions. Ours were great! It turned out to be an older person gambling cruise. This was fine for us as we don't gamble. Was surprised not to get a repeaters invitation to a repeaters cocktail party. I asked stateroom attendant about it but I don't know if she understood what I was talking about. Shows were good not exceptional. There was a lot of line dancing classes that were fun but only a few poolside activities and the nightlife on the ship was nonexistent until the last night of the cruise. The one Salsa dancing class they did on the last sea day was excellent. Kudos to the dancers!

My time dining is bad. They save no tables for my time dining so line is long. If people don't call and cancel their reservations their table sits empty 1/2 hour to an hour waiting to see if they'll show up while my timers stand in line. That said the food service is fast when you get a seat because half the tables are empty. Some of the dishes they made the flavors just didn't work together. My fish was over cooked. It just wasn't good. Lobster night was good but service slow because people showed up for reservations. Had to skip dessert that night to get to show because of slow service. This night we were very hungry because portions were so small so we went to buffet after show. Waiters worked hard and were very nice. We did buffet a few nights because food wasn't good in restaurant and for the most part the buffet was excellent. More than once we went to buffet right after show because we we're still hungry even though we ate at the restaurant and we are not fat people. Had to hurry there because it closed so early. There is no all night restaurant only 24 hour room service but you can get a snack in the solarium for a while after buffet closes.

Cabin was good. We always go inside cabin becuase we are hardly in there. Bed was comfy. Closet doors could use a different closure. There was a lot of draw and cupboard pass compared to other ships.

Ship tip

Don't do my time seating for dinner. If you do, call to make a reservation for each night as soon as you can on the ship. Enter on the starboard side of the dining room each night so you don't have to wait as long.

Drink prices on shore are same price as on ship. Only thing is you decide the gratuity amount. I am sure prices are now controlled by cruise lines and business owners have caught on and up charge.

sailed on Rhapsody a couple of years ago they had the best band I have ever heard on a cruise ship, they played and sang all kinds of music the pianist even sang a Pavarotti song
