Rhapsody of the Seas

7 Night Alaska Sawyer Glacier (Seattle Roundtrip)

Sail date: June 17, 2011

Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Cabin type: Inside

Review summary

The ship was just like any other in the "of the Seas" class. It's getting a little dated, and will probably be pulled for renovations soon.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Definitely missing veggies from the buffet! Plenty of wonderful fruit, but veggie spreads and salads were the only healthy option on the vegetable side.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The quality of the shows was very poor. It was like a high school production most of the time. As for activities, they were geared towards seniors.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff was friendly, helpful, and organized.

Ports of call

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Beautiful city! It was so wonderfully landscaped and charming.
Don't Miss: Empress Hotel, Parliament Building, downtown area.

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
Cute little town, but not much to do aside from excursions
Don't Miss: White Pass Train is a must. Combine with another excursion.

Juneau, Alaska

3 out of 5
Juneau itself is very dull. All of the shops are cruise ship owned, so it makes it hard for unique shopping. Be sure to take a great excursion in this
Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier - see from a helicopter, not by bus!

Pros: Ports of Call, Tracy Arm Fjord

Cons: Days at sea
