Ports of call

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
The Gold panning/salmon bake were both great.
Don't Miss: The tram up Mount Roberts is a must do!

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
it is an interesting little town which seems to specialize in bars and quilt shops. The latter was of interest to me.
Don't Miss: the WPYR was a must do. Even though to was foggy the scenery was great.

Prince Rupert, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Another tiny town but with more shopping facilities than the other two.
Don't Miss: Whale watching was excellent

Pros: The staff was nice and the tours went well and were worth it.

Cons: The ship was uncomfortable: There is a lack of work space were you can sit down and use a table for doing Sudoku, chairs slippery and not attuned to my body build, and it was cold in most parts of the ship. The library was pathetic; no real reference works
