We had a great Alaskan cruise on Rhapsody. The staff was always helpful and cheerful. We enjoyed the shows immensely. The cabin was comfortable (great bed and pillows) and our room steward was fantastic. Rhapsody is a lovely ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Although the food was good and adequate, it simply was not impessive. We really expected more lavish and impressive dishes. again, perhaps it is just us as my husband has been in the food service business for 35 years and has very high expectations.

For an inside cabin, it was very nice--lots of closet space and drawer space. We were told our cabin might be noisy but it was the last one left on that deck and directly under the theater--didn't hear a thing. It was quiet and pleasant at all times.

We did the mushers camp and dog sledding. We enjoyed it.

Buchart Gardens are fabulaous! We went on our own rather than pay the ship's price.

Enjoyed Mendenhall Glacier and the whale watching. They try too hard to sell you jewelry at the stores in port. I wish we had a little more time in this port.

Pros: We enjoyed the shows and the staff were great. Always had a smile and helpful.

Cons: The food was good but not as impressive as we had expected. Also, we really wanted the first seating and could not get it.
