Review summary

First time on Virgin Voyages, but have sailed Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Disney, Princess, and Carnival. After this 12 night cruise, I'll have a hard time sailing on any of those other cruise lines again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It went smooth, and very quick

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was fantastic. Having 6 restaurants, the Galley, and other eateries, gave us plenty of choices, and that's a big deal on a 12 night cruise.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Nice gym, and running track. Free arcade was great. Plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing. Also loved the VHS workout

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Persephone and Another Rose were beyond fantastic.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was always perfect, and the staff went above and beyond. They seem to really enjoy working for VV

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I loved it. Some people complained of the lack of "Grand Entry" with high ceilings. To me, I thought it was a great use of space, and felt much more modern then the other ships I have been on.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were upgraded to a Central Sea Cabin, and it was great. The bathroom is tiny, but the shower was so good, we want to switch our home shower to match it. The bed was very comfortable, and the hammock is wonderful.

Ports of call

Portsmouth, England

4 out of 5
We spent 2 days here, before the cruise. It's a nice town, with some great pubs, and shopping, and the Maritime Museum and Naval dockyard, need to be on your list of things to do.

La Coruna, Spain

3 out of 5
Not much charm. Nothing there that interested us, so we took a short train ride to Santiago de Compostela for the day. Very old, and interesting city.

Lisbon, Portugal

4 out of 5
Great city

Casablanca, Morocco

2 out of 5
Casablanca is the Tijuana of Morocco. Just a lot of pushy people trying to sell you crappy knock offs of anything you cam imagine.

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
What a great city. It has everything you could ask for. There are lots of tourists, but doesn't feel touristy. This is the type of place I would like to retire to.

Ibiza, Balearic Islands

3 out of 5
I'm to old to go clubbing, so it's not for me. It's nice, and you can spend a few hours walking around the old town area, but that's about it.

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Barcelona is just a great city.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
quick and efficient.
