We have been on 5 Princess cruises, this one was so awful we will likely never cruise with Princess again! It cost us in total nearly $11,000. What an incredible waste of money. I requested a celebration package for out 47th anniversary and had no acknowledgement whatsoever!
Embarkation
1 out of 5
The organization, lines and endless walking were horrible, we had been traveling 0ver 30 hours by the time we got to our room. Their were a large number of very elderly people that were having an awful time with the long uphill walking with no relief!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food was horrible with the lone exception of Sabatinis. All our other Princess cruises were wonderful, this one failed in every respect!

Entertainment
2 out of 5
I believe the entertainment director totally forgot the average age of the patrons! We had to leave because it was so loud and unpleasant.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
These poor folks had to take the brunt of the unhappiness of the customers. The did it with a smile and no ability to change things.
Ship Quality

Couldn't use our balcony for several days because they were doing work on it. Since we had good weather it was very disappointing.
We had planned to see this port and do some shopping, unfortunately we and about half the passengers got sick. Walking thru the ship, it sounded like a TB ward. Or if you don't remember those, a Hospital full of Covid Patients. We did not have Covid but whatever it is we are on our second round of antibiotics.
One Hotel Captain on the Regal Princess asked to find any hotel on land that checked out three thousand guests in the morning, cleaned everything and checked in three thousand guests the same afternoon. There are always minor issues but still pretty amazing.
Maybe research pricing before spending. I cancelled a 40K$ 21day European Transatlantic cruise on Regent Splendor for a 3K$ 10day Alaskan cruise on Cunard Queen Elizabeth. It doesn't sound like 11K$ for Princess was worth it to me.
Sounds like maybe try a different cruise line? Sadly the embarkation and disembarkation process is the same for all cruise lines. If you needed a place to sit, you should have asked somebody. And they're always very helpful and will find you a chair.
Makes me not want to do that venue, our Caribbean trip last year on the Regal out of Fort Lauderdale was many times better. Almost sounded like some of the MSC reviewers.
