Review summary

Cruise was great. Some service issues. Did not have enough staff to keep up with the sold out cruise. Best was the ports & excursions. Medallion app is great for some things but sometimes not working as promoted. Loved the extra cushions and blankets on pool deck for movies. Loved not having to check out towels (but maybe that’s why some people leave them lying around :( ) Kids enjoyed the kids club. We would cruise with princess again. Hopefully the service issues will get worked out or maybe not as bad on a less busy ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Alfredos was delicious. Gave up on the main dining room. We had a reservation time but still had to wait 30 minutes for a table to be cleared and when we were seated our dinner felt rushed. We were served our appetizer and main dish at the same time. We were happy with the Buffet. Did have to wait a while for a drink to be brought to us so we would just go to the drink stations. Sometimes there were a long lines.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools. Like on most ships they were very busy on sea days. Enjoyed deal or no deal.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Overall, the shows were good. Our favorite was the magician and rock opera. DJ was just OK but music is really personal preference.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Since the ship does not have a lot of extras, like waterslides, I was pleasantly surprised at what the kids club had to offer.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service was great but slower than we were used to. Assume this is because of reduced staff after covid. 🤷‍♀️

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Design was nice. Common areas slow to be picked up. Drinks and towels left around. Plenty of places to put used towel’s but many passengers don’t.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Lots of room for our family of 4. Note that if there is four in the room, the lower bed cannot be combined into 1.

Ship tip

Manage expectations. We ended up skipping the dinning room and going to buffet. Order 2 drinks at bar to avoid lines. Don’t order hot food through room service will not be hot when you get it. The app is great for tracking people and staying up with ship time. Use paper schedules for events.

Landsailing was a hit. Can snorkel anywhere.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 wheel tour of national park was so much fun.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
If you pack heavy, best to let them take your luggage the night before. Elevators are very busy on debarkation day.
