Loved this cruise. Next Canada/New England cruise we take will be one way to or from Quebec City to see more of the fall foliage.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Princess has it together with the process of disembarking;however, the port did not seem ready for us. The delay was caused by only 4 customs agents being on duty for 3500 passengers.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food in MDR did not seem totally up to par with our previous Princess cruises but we enjoyed Alfredo’s three times even ate at the buffet a few times. Lots of selection of great food in the buffet. We’re not disappointed and for sure, we had plenty of food.
Crown Grill
5 out of 5
Excellent dinner at Crown Grill. Server Christian was great as was our meals. Filet was perfect and husband’s Chilean sea bass was delicious. All around a great evening.
Alfredo's Pizzeria
5 out of 5
We had great service and food at Alfredo’s. Ate there three times on this cruise, shared a pizza, ate salads and entrees, every meal consistently delicious and fresh. Enjoyed it. Servers were great.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Really did no activities.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
The musicians in the Piazza...sigh... There were a few strings duets, trios, quartets that were amazing and always drew a crowd. The one band that stood out for us was the black/African American group that were amazing. The other bands we heard singing and playing seemed to be off-pitch. We have wondered even on other cruises if musical bands are difficult to find because it seems the quality is not always there.
Children's Programs

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Waiters and servers in MDR and other restaurants were superb. Our room steward kept our cabin spotless each time we left, but was not real friendly. She was cordial just not warm, but that didn’t bother us.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This ship is magnificent, a carbon copy of her sister Royal Princess which we had been on earlier. Beautiful and clean. There seemed to be staff cleaning something somewhere always.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin M422 was a minisuite as we love having a bathtub. The queen bed was very comfy with crisp sheets. The down comfort was a little too bulky for us but we just removed it. The balcony has a huge overhang since it is directly under the Lido deck. Since this was an autumn cruise and the weather was cool, not much activity above but still could hear staff pushing carts, an occasional person walking or child running. I would think on a warm weather cruise the activity above would be noisy. Also with the large overhang, taking pictures off our balcony wasn’t a good option. If we wanted a clear picture without the obstruction, we went to top deck. It wasn’t enough to make us give the cabin a lower star though. Still enjoyed the cabin and the cruise.
No excursion but we did disembark and walk around, bought souvenirs. Several nice restaurants and shops around. The Lobster Shack should not be missed, quaint little place with excellent lobster. You order then find a picnic table to eat on. Very near port. Beautiful old homes and buildings. We had to be tendered from the ship which is always an adventure.
We enjoyed walking around Boston. Ate a delicious lunch of lobster at Union Oyster House, which is right on Freedom Trail. We walked a bit on Freedom Trail, went to the cemetery where several patriots are buried. Also saw Paul Revere’s home and North Church. Very good to see things you’ve read and heard about for years.
Bar Harbor is a beautiful seaside village, great restaurants and shops. We took an excursion to top of Cadillac Mtn. Beautiful views of port and ship from the top. Would love to visit via car and spend more time there.
Probably not a fair rating for this port as we did no excursions but we did walk around the large white tent at the ship port and buy a few souvenirs, some handmade items from locals, other stuff from China.
Princess has done a great job of organizing the disembark process; however, the port was not ready for us. No negatives here for us other than the meeting place of our group had very few seats for such a large group.
