I have noticed more and more negative posts about Princess Cruises of late and even negatives about the same cruise that I was on or had been on recently so I thought that I would post my two cents. I am currently on my final full day of 24 on Regal Princess. My wife and I have been thrilled by our time onboard and have enjoyed every single day. The negative things that we have noted have been 100% passenger related and not crew/ship/itenerary/etc.

The food and service in the MDR have also been very enjoyable, not perfect but we don't expect that either.
International Cafe and staff was it's usual level of excellence!
Crown Grill was it's usual great and is very consistent across ships, as was Alfredo's, which is our favorite lunch. Oh the Pub Lunch is fun and good as well.
The buffet is not our thing but the breakfast was decent for buffet food and the couple of convenience meals we ate there were decent. Again the buffet problems are more passenger related!
International Café

Ahhhhhh the IC, my home away from home. Might be the most popular spot on the ship. The only thing they could do to improve would be to have TWO!
Alfredo's Pizzeria

We LOVE Alfredo's for a leisurely lunch or if we just don't feel like the time or effort of MDR. Great food and service right in the hub of ship activities in the Piazza.
Crown Grill

We always do Crown at least once on every cruise. It is amazing how consistent they are from ship to ship. Best Lamb Chops ever. We are not a fan of the dessert selections though. Too over the top after a big meal, a good cheesecake or apple pie would be better!

The shows have been good to great, no we didn't enjoy every single one but we don't expect to on a ship with 4,000 people to please!
The Princess orchestra was absolutely amazing, as they all somehow manage to be! Where does Princess get them all?! The string trio were just incredible also. The rock band made up of people from various groups were so much fun in the Piazza and truly outstanding.
Service and Staff

The crown in the Regal's tiara is the crew and they are five star all the way! My record for ever working 12on/12off without a day off was 21 days so I feel I have some credibility when I say that I cannot imagine how these people do what they do without tossing a few passengers overboard! We saw some pretty awful crew/passenger encounters and they were 100% the fault of the passenger!

The ship herself was always spotlessly cleaned and well maintained in every way.
Cabin / Stateroom

Great room, comfortable and well appointed and maintained. Our steward, Rose, was helpful, attentive and friendly.
I "Ditto" your review. Our favorite ship of the Princess line is the REGAL. I notice that most negative reviews, not all of course, focus on the trivial things....when looked at in totality, sailing on Princess is a wonderful thing!

We are sailing on Regal Princess in November after a two year absence. Since Princess left Texas we have cruised primarily on Royal Caribbean just out of convenience, but RC is no Princess! We can hardly wait to experience the Regal, or to be back onboard our favorite cruise line.
We did the Baltic on Princess and absolutely loved it. Typically we do NCL, Holland or even Carnival and it was by far the best in many ways. Only negative was the attitude at check-in from management...very cold and impersonal. The Sanctuary in the AM going thru the Fjord can’t be beat...and did I mention the surprise of the ship’s horn playing the theme from the “Love Boat”!
