Review summary

The customer service desk hid behind "policy", half truths to get me to leave the desk, and excessive delay in assisting a passenger "in distress".

 

No Manager would speak to us at all.

 

All our cash and most credit cards were stolen as we started the cruise. It took 3.5 days to cash a check. For 7  days , charges as low as $4.00 were denied until i visited the front desk. Painful process that was 100 % avoidable with a customer focus organization. Port excursions were painful due to crowds, number of people, limited routes. My first choice for debarkation was cancelled

It was stolen prior to boarding. We notified customer service desk, but they denied charges on board for 10 days for as little as $4.00. My opinion is they should have allowed us to buy a minimum amount, since they spoke to the credit card company and knew my card was valid on the ship

There is a safe in each room you should keep valuables there

Sorry to hear about this but I doubt the pickpockets were onboard. I'll assume this ocurred prior to embarkation so you shouldn't blame Princess for your musfortune.

Odd, my wife had our CC denied in the casino but the desk extended credit to her until I could be contacted to clear up the issue. The counter person said she was not authorized to do so and got the manager. No fuss, no muss. 14 Jan 2017, two weeks B2B. Not knowing the full story, it does sound like an odd deal. Especially if you had already boarded.

was your stuff stolen on board? if not sadly I don't know what princess could have done...if it was stolen on board and i could possibly sew them bending over to fix it...sorry for your frustration
