Review summary

Overall very good rating.  Beautiful ship, good service, wonderful entertainment.  Food sometimes very good, other times not. Balcony room much too small to be really comfortable.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food was either excellent or just fair, depending on the night. Specialty dining at Sabatini's was not good. Italian restaurant was very good.

Entertainment

Excellent entertainment---best we've experienced on a cruise!

Service and Staff

Joseph was our room attendant--he went out of his way with little surprises for us! One of the waiters at Alfredo's Italian Restaurant was very nice and friendly.

Cabin / Stateroom

Too small!! Bathroom reminded me of an airplane bathroom, but with an added shower. Room was tight and not conducive to relaxing.

Ship tip

Regal Princess is a beautiful ship and offers excellent entertainment.

Ports of call

Ponta Delgada, Azores

We shared a taxi with another couple and travelled all over the east side of the island (we had been here before so didn't go to the crater lakes). Beautiful island, highly recommend touring here.

Cherbourg, France

Rented a car and drove to Normandy beaches and landing sites; Ste. Mere Eglise town was good to see, but not enough time to see everything -- just saw beaches and Point du Hoc. Beaches were disappointing---plain beaches with homes built across the road, scarring the importance of the area.

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

5 out of 5
Bruges---Favorite town---even in the rain, wind and cold! We took a canal ride which was wonderful; then took a tour bus ride around town, also very nice. The main square and streets coming off it are lovely to just walk and sightsee. LOVED Bruges!!

Rotterdam, Netherlands

We walked the town--it was okay, but not very impressive. Wanted to see the windmill area but too far away to hire a taxi; also the tulip gardens near Amsterdam were too far away to hire a cab. Maybe if the weather was more conducive, we'd have made the trip to one of those areas.

I will be in Rotterdam in August.  Any ideas on what to see here?
