Review summary
Overall a wonderful cruise,. allowing us to see countries we would not necessarily get to visit. Excursions very, very pricey and wish we had better guidance on the excursions. For example, excursion to Rome over $500 for 2. Most of the trip we had to pay Euros but in Turkey we wish some one had advised us that the US dollar was worth much more than Turkish money. Food was good and the atmoshper on-board good. Found the entertainment to be above average and entertaining. Being on a new ship was a nice change, however, the balcony staterooms appeared to have smaller balconies and the air condition was not very good at all. Princess, as with other cruise lines, seem to nickel and dime passenger's to death and considering the cost of a cruise there should be less of that. Very little on-board activities that did not cost an arm and a leg. Found the stateroom staff excellent, always keeping the room clean and fresh. A plus for Princess is the importance of good hygene with hand sanitizers located throughout the ship.
