Had a nice time. Great food everywhere. Lacking on entertainment. Cabin was very old, outdated and needs improvement. Staff were great.
Embarkation

Fast! The terminal is in a high traffic area which is a pain, bur once we got into the terminal- it was very fast and easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food in the Windjammer buffet was excellent and was changed with new selections every day and every meal. The formal dining room was great with great waiters.
We ate at Chops grill. That was the best steal we ever had. We ate at Izumi. They had great food also and wonderful waiters.
Onboard Activities

We just used the pool area. Both the main pool area and Solarium were both very nice.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Their weren't as many shows as I'm used to having on a cruise. There was a movie theater which I think is great- but it was movies we had already seen- some of which were very old,so never went to the cinema. I enjoy the Karoke too,but they didn't have it very iften,so were unable to see that. It always conflicted with dinner time. We went to bed early many nights because there was nothing that we enjoyed going on after our dinner time.
Children's Programs
No kids with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had a great room attendant-Yoga. He brought us a bucket if ice every day. We had a mildew smell in our bathroom that he worked on a few days for us. Out waiters in the formal dining room and in Izumi were excellent.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
For a smaller ship,it was never crowded and had a good number of public bathrooms. There are a lot if windows everywhere, which is great to see the ocean.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin needs to be updated. It's dark wood that is worn and has a shower curtain. The bathroom stank if mildew the whole week. The air conditioner barely kept the room cool at night. It was impossible to regulate the water temperature in the shower and the faucet both.
Ship tip
This ship seems to really rock a lot and we didn't even have bad weather. My husband got sea sick, which he has never had happen before. The room gets hot at night so bring a fan. You only have a cooler- not a refrigerator in an inside cabin. sick
The dock that Royal Caribbean uses is terrible. It's very old with very pushy, annoying vendors. There is a great dock about a mile away that Carnival uses. We walked to that one and it was so much nicer. It's newer, more attractive and much nicer salespeople that aren't pushy. We ended up missing our Costa Maya stop because if weather. We went to Cozumel again. This time,we picked in " the city". There was a nice shopping area there. If you ever see " Banana company"- make sure you try their Banana bread. It is awesome!
Not much to see here. Very small shopping area that looks to be still a work in progress.
We did visit Maya Key. It was ok. The food that they give is mediocre. There is a eating area with no covering- so if it's rainy, there is no good place to eat. The staff make it very clear that you get 1 trip to the buffet and they put the food on your plate. My husband's salad and rice got dumped on each other, so he didn't even want to eat his food. There is no music here except some radio that was playing around the food service area and it was a little boring. Ther is a nice pool area. You have to go up hills and stairs to get to food, bathrooms and lockers.
We didn't get to stop here, but I went here last year. It's a nice port with a public pool in the middle and lots of things to see. The salespeople are pushy here though.
