After this experience I won't book another Royal Caribbean Cruise. I will also listen to previous reviews and research the age of the boat and latest updates.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Wonderful experience getting on the boat, there weren't any delays and nice speedy process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Everything is so old and out dated. Looked like a 1980's dining room. The food lacked any kind of seasoning so glad I brought some with me. The drinks weren't to bad price wise, $14 USD, but we took our own bottles of wine and champagne with us.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
The only "activity" that was amazing was the seminar to speed up your metabolism. The instructor Edison was amazing and we learned so much. Everything else was blah. I will say that we were on a couple trip, ranging 40-50. Everyone else on the cruise was over 70 so definitely a disparity and not to many fun activities.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We went to the comedy show to see Cary and he was good. Nice clean family humor.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was amazing. We did not walk past a employee that didn't passionately greet us.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
My room was not as clean as I would have liked. There was tons of hair from previous guests all over and disgusting. When you turn the shower on it floods the bathroom, not a good experience! It is definitely time for some upgrades. Rust was over all the ship's fixtures, the smell of mildew was really strong on the decks.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Left a lot to be desired. My attendant did do a good job everyday but the thorough cleaning I expected from the previous guest was not done.
Ship tip
Bring your own seasoning for the food, bring you some wine or champagne.
Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Sorry it didn’t meet your expectations. Maybe a larger and newer ship will meet your expectations. We’ve cruised on ships from Brilliance on up to Wonder. We’ve enjoyed them all but we know before hand through research what to expect on the ship and the itineraries.
