Perfect "First Cruise"

Sail Date: May 28, 2010

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

As our first cruise I don't think we could have made a better choice. Our balcony room was perfect -- plenty of closet space, great shower, and a very comfortable bed. Room service was quick and friendly. Boarding and leaving the ship was well-organized and went relatively quickly. Overall, we were stunned by the beauty and service on board. We've already begun making plans to return to Radiance of the Seas for another cruise.

Pros: Extremely clean, great service, friendly helpful crew

Cons: That it ended (and losing money in the casino)

Recommends Radiance of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
Great food in all restaurants where we ate (Cascades Dining Room, Windjammer, Sea View Cafe)
Service and Staff
Overall, very friendly, helpful, and attentive.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was perfect. They're all relatively small, but there's space for everything. We never felt claustrophobic or that we couldn't move around or relax. The balcony was wonderful.
Excellent shows and a very talented group of entertainers. We sat in the front row!
Ship Quality
Spectacular centrum area, open from deck 4 to deck 12. The ship was spotless.
Juneau, Alaska
As Alaskans, we've been to Juneau before so didn't feel the need to do a great deal of sightseeing.
Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
Hoonah was a great stop for a waling tour. Also, the history surrounding the cannery was very interesting. Lots to see and do.
Don't Miss: The cannery
Skagway, Alaska

Don't Miss: Yukon & White Pass railroad tour
