Review summary

The Radiance of the Seas is a favorite of mine. It is beautifully appointed and has many amenities. My granddaughters enjoyed Adventure Ocean and refused to eat dinner with the adults because they didn't want to miss any activities. This also made nice for the rest of the family. We were able to talk and visit at the late seating without making the young one sit and behave. There were plenty of activities for all the family, from the 4 year old to grandma and grandpa. The younger adults have plenty of places to relax and enjoy themselves while grandma and grandpa did the child care at night. The whole trip was wonderful. One event that was outstanding was the cake frosting contest between the captain and the hotel manager in the centrum. It was hilarious and nice to see the captain interacting with the passengers.

Ports of call

Skagway, Alaska

In 1980 when we took our first trip to Alaska, Skagway was a sleepy goal rush town. It is still my favorite Alasken port but is now more commencialised than I prefer.
