Radiance of the Seas is a smaller ship compared to the other RCCL ships I've been on. Small isn't bad, I think the only bad thing of this cruise was the dinner service. I had really outstanding dinner service on the previous RCCL ships I've been on (Adventures and Explorer). Both waiters I had on those previous ships were very enthusiastic and entertaining every time I went to dinner. This waiter I had on Radiance was OK. He gave me the wrong dinner a couple of times and the dinner was either for the person next to me or I did not order that at all.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was OK this time around. The only memorable thing from dinner is this one dessert. Bailey's Banana Brulee - BBB. I loved that because I love the drink, Bailey's Banana Coconut.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Cruise Director Kik Detweiler was very entertaining. I was very impressed when I first saw him and he sang. He's the ONLY CD that actually can sing. None of the other CD's on the other ships I've been on sang, they either just hosted the show or took part in it but NEVER sang.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
RCCL staff has always been friendly. I have never been on a RCCL ship and didn't have someone on staff willing to help.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Besides Radiance being a smaller ship, the layout is similar to the other RCCL ships I've been on. It just lacks a ice skating rink because again, it's a smaller ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
My stateroom was always clean and had fresh towels. My stateroom attendent always had a smile on his face when he greeted me.
I've been to the other side of Jamaica, which is Ocho Rio's and I found that part to be OK. I had some agrressive locals wanting me to desperately buy their stuff after I finished my Dunns Fall and Dolphin Encounter excursion. When I was in Mobay, I was scared for my life. I knew I should have done a tour, I would have probably had a better experience. I asked to be taken to their downtown and I felt like I was on the WRONG side of town. I had the locals constantly follow me and hassling me to buy their stuff and go into their store. I was very turned off, so in less than an hour, I just took a cab and went back to the ship. I would go back to Mobay BUT I would book a tour and not go out on my own.

Beautiful! I've been to Grand Cayman back in 2003 and I went to the Seven Mile Beach the first time around. The water was nice, warm and BLUE and the sand was fine. To come back 4 years later, I went to the turtle farm and hell. The turtles were cute and hell was funny. Did you know Hell is on Hell Rd to the left! HA
I've been to Cozumel in 2003 and to come back 4 years later, it's pretty much the same. The water is always nice and blue and the exciting thing this time around was the parade going on. I think it was their independence day parade. So that was nice to see.
