Review summary

We were pleased with our stateroom and the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. The food was O.K. but portions too small. Overall the quality of the food was just O.K., not excellent. Even though paying for the wifi access, I could not send e-mails and the tech support was not knowledgable enough to fix the problem.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food quality was O.K. in main dining room but some dishes were bland and portions were very small. I know you could have multiple servings. The options for entree's lacked variety.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Did not participate in activities. Did attend shows which were excellent. Unhappy with on board shopping and the huckstering of items was beneath the dignity of RCCL.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were excellent. One complaint, the Captain was very personable and funny but could not hear him in our stateroom during his announcements. Had to open our door or stand on balcony to hear. Sometimes we missed parts of the announcements due to this. Should have the option to listen or turn down captians announcements in the staterooms. They are not to be missed!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Have no edxperience in comparing the ship to others.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
bathrooms and showers were very small for above average sized persons.

Ports of call

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Just shopped. Too many jewelry stores. Some were unethical & overpriced. Buyer beware.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Need more time in port. One day not enough. Mushers camp and photo safari were excellent.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved the fact only one ship in port.
Don't Miss: Zipline but 40 minute busride to the top was a pain.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Same old stuff as far as shipping
Don't Miss: Lumberjack show

Pros: Stateroom and staff

Cons: Size of seating in dining room. Should be smaller. Wifi connection was poor
