Relaxing Cruise

Sail Date: January 28, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Very cheerful crew, beautiful ship. Layout of the rear of the ship left alot to be desired. No staircase or elevators in the rear of ship. Small rooms!

Pros: Cheerful Staff

Cons: Small Room and Ship Layout

Recommends Radiance of the Seas? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
The rooms were very small compared to other ships. The beds were actually rounded at the bottom to allow you to go around them, which in turn, made the beds "short". When you are 6'4", most of the body is hanging off the bottom. The shower and bath were tight for even the smallest person. Ample storage for clothes and such.
Service and Staff
All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Casino staff were also smiling.
Ship Quality
We had a balcony room on the rear of the ship, 7th floor. There was no access to stairs or elevator in rear of ship. We has to go to midship to go up or down, which the way, was 30 rooms we had to pass BEFORE we got to our room. Also the balcony on this floor was huge but you were extremely exposed to your neighbors on either side and you had a large protrusion that didn' t allow you to look down at the water. You only had a view of the horizon. The elevators that overlook the water were great!
Food and Dining
We didn't use the formal dining room, but the food on the buffet left alot to be desired. There was quiet a bit to choose from, but taste and quality weren't up to par with other ships we have been on.
Key West, Florida
Although we had very cool and windy weather the day we were there, it fun to sit back and watch the hussle and bussle of the tourist and locals.
Montego Bay, Jamaica
The city itself was dirty and rundown. Very annoying shop owners. Felt very unsafe here!
Cozumel, Mexico
Good value on merchandise here. Local shop owners are a little to anxious to get to shop in their store, but tolerable.
Don't Miss: Don't miss downtown and the square area!
George Town, Grand Cayman
Very clean and friendly place. Shop owners don't hound you, and you feel safe any place you may go. Things are more expensive here, but worth it.
Don't Miss: Stingray City!
