Embarked Queen Mary 2, with ease, on board quickly, suitcases already in the cabin.
Cabin quite spacious, and although rather tired looking, clean. Welcomed aboard with a bottle of wine in the cabin, which was a nice touch.
The ship is very stable despite Atlantic seas, really shows she is a liner, not a cruise ship. Enjoyable cruise, although some improvements could be made to the entertainment, and the MDR. I had been sold the 26 day trip, as one cruise, but in many ways it was run as 3 cruises, so the shows were repeated, which I felt was unfair.
All in all, an enjoyable experience, I look forward to repeating.

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
MDR was very slow, we lost our main waiter a week into the cruise ( they said he had been promoted?) food came without vegetables, although you could have extra if you asked, though these were often late, poorly cooked and cold. Plates were cold, therefore meals were too. Did not use speciality restaurants, buffets looked well stocked. Room service, which I had for breakfast, and occasional lunch, good, and on time.
Onboard Activities

Did not use these
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Dancers were excellent, show singers were dire, out of tune and screechy, guest performers on the whole were ok. Guest speakers were good, Giles Ramsey, who gave insight talks, was excellent. Sound system needs checking, far too loud.
Service and Staff

On the whole, staff were excellent.
Ship Quality

Once you got used to it, the layout was ok, a bit confusing at first. All areas were clean, the carpets looked a little tired.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was quite comfortable, the glass balcony was great, as was the position of the cabin. The carpet had seen better days, had a few stains on it. Steward was good, I didn’t have to ask for extra shower gel etc, he supplied it without asking.
