Review summary
I had always refused to cruise because of the number of passengers and large dining rooms. Cunard Queen Elizabeth gave me the opportunity in my opinion to try cruising at its best. We booked a one week cruise to the Norwegian fjords in a Q3 Penthouse suite. The room was large with more than ample storage space. Excellent bathroom with separate whirlpool bath and shower. Seating area with sofa and coffee table as well as a well stocked fridge. Champagne on ice when we arrived. Two kinds of spirits provided and replenished. Good sized balcony with reclining chairs and small table. We were allocated a table for two in the Queens Grill. The food was excellent at every meal and served by attentive waiting staff. Only one sitting and time of dining our choice. Formal nights were very well received and a great opportunity to dress up. The ship is elegant and not a climbing wall in sight thank goodness. I took three photo workshops on sea days which were very good and reasonably priced. We did not use the spa or other available facilities on board because we loved the ambience of the Grills lounge and our own stateroom. Tours from the ship organised by Cunard were competitively priced and well organised. We checked out tours ashore to find them no cheaper. Embarkation was a dream. Priority boarding with our suite meant that we had no queuing and within 30 minutes of arriving at the port we were in our room.Superb. Disembarkation was just as efficient. Throughout the entire trip all the staff were helpful, courteous and efficient. Would I cruise again? Yes with Cunard on one of the Queens.Ship experiences
