great quick embarkation. thank you to the woman who approved my fiance for getting onboard after we had lost his photo ID and only had a pension, atm card and medicare card to show.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
loved the main dining room and the harp and horn pub the food was delicious. sadly i did not like the buffet very much, too many food stations with the exact same food choices offered, they were a replica of the other stations. i did not like the pizza at all at sorentos either. loved the cafe promenade, with the yummy complimentary cakes but was surprised even thiugh it was meant to be open 24/7 that in the middle of the night the food was removed and the free coffee and juice machines gone. there was nothing available other than water.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
love the adults only solarium, its stunning and a quite place, i had a lovely relaxing spa., its such a beautuful area. also love the grand promenade, it looks amazing, they were my 2 favorite areas onboard :)

Entertainment

5 out of 5
stage shows were fantastic and such a varied type. the musicians wee very talented too but the bars would fill up if yu tried to go later in the evening with no available seats eveb for 2 people, so often we just walked around the ship as could not get a seat.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
fantastic, friendly helpful staff all over the ship. the washy washy man in the buffet was so funny, singing his washy washy song. our cabin steward was beautuful although sadly we could not understand most of what she said as she had a very strong accent, but still such a beautuful lady. our 2 waiters each night in the main dining room were fantastic too, but we all felt extremely uncomfotable and pressured when our head waiter spent our entire last dinner onboard pushing us to leave him a 5 star review, saying how he had recieved many 5 star reviews and that he expected us to do the same. we actually was planning anyway to leave him and our cabin steward both amazing 5 star reviews, but from te full on pressure from our waiter on the lastniht we changed our mind and left him no review at all and instead jjust gave our beautiful cabin steward glowing reviews. but were the type that if we love service we will leave a great review, but were not going to leave a good review just because were are told too. so his tactics worked the wrong way and nothing was said in our review about the dining room staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
the ships design was beautiful, very modern and stunnng. it took me most of our cruise to work out where everything was located, as its a massive ship, but i think i worked out most of it by the time we got off. my poor elderly mother was so confused though and had to always stay with us or she would have got totally lost. so we kept close to her side at all times.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
our cabin was stunning, super modern, beautiful decor, beautiful layoiut, farly big balcony. totally loved it. i was surprised that it fitted 3 adults comfortably. our cabin was one of the highlights of our trip and was close to the elevators/stairwell. no noise even though it was a connecing cabin. not too much movement either. just perfect for us all.

Ship tip

get to the shows and bars early if you want to be there for the fantastic entertainment.

Ports of call

Brisbane, Australia

brisbane itself is a lovely city but the cruise terminal is a fair way out of the city. it cost us almost $80aud to get a maxi xl uber to the port and the same back into brisbane. there is no public transport to take you out there saly.

Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia

5 out of 5
we got the tender boats /catamarans from the ship across to airlie beach, gettibg off at shute harbiur, took about 20 minutes, then RCC had shuttle bises (actually coaches)b that took us into the airlie beach town centre, both were included. it was approximately a 10-15 min shuttle ride to the town. beautiful costal town. we booked a bus tour with the tour guide from driftwood tours and it was amazing. she took us to all if the best look out places/ i have some out of this world stunning photos that i took of over the ocean. the main st is pretty too with friendly staff. they have a market on the foreshore when the ships are in, i grabbed some great peesents to take back home to my fa,miky :) really loved airlie :)
